The Pentagon has credentialed right-wing activist Laura Loomer to cover President Trump’s Department of War.
Loomer announced the news in a social media post on Monday, boasting that her work has “had a massive impact on the landscape of personnel decisions within the Executive Branch, our intelligence agencies and the Pentagon.”

She wrote on X:
I’m excited to announce that after a year of breaking the most impactful stories that pertain to our nation’s national security and rooting out deceptive and disloyal bad actors from the Department of War, I have joined the Pentagon Press Corps!
LOOMERED is now a credentialed outlet at the Pentagon.
There is no denying that my investigative reporting has had a massive impact on the landscape of personnel decisions within the Executive Branch, our intelligence agencies and the Pentagon.
I look forward to covering the Pentagon and breaking more stories that impact our country and our national security.

LOOMERED is now a credentialed…
Citing a “person familiar with the matter,” The Washington Post reported that Loomer was “joining a new cohort of right-wing media that have agreed to the Pentagon’s new press policy.”

The updated policy requires credentialed reporters to sign a pledge agreeing not to publish information unless it has been cleared for release. That would include materials that have already been unclassified.
Last month, the overwhelming majority of the Pentagon Press Corps turned in their badges rather than comply with a new policy that was criticized by both the left and right as a threat to the freedom of the press.
Nebraska Rep. Don Bacon criticized the plan on X, writing: “This is so dumb that I have a hard time believing it is true. We don’t want a bunch of Pravda newspapers only touting the Government’s official position. A free press makes our country better. This sounds like more amateur hour.”

Loomer previously applied for a White House press pass, voicing frustration when she wasn’t granted one despite her repeated requests and other MAGA influencers with fewer followers getting credentialed.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth defended the change and said it was designed to curb leaks and protect information at the Pentagon.
“Time and time again, classified information is leaked or peddled for political purposes to try to make the president look bad,” said Hegseth at a news conference in June.
President Donald Trump appeared to support the new rules during remarks to reporters in October.
“I think he finds the press to be very disruptive in terms of world peace,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “The press is very dishonest.”
Trump asked Hegseth, who was seated with him during a meeting with the president of Argentina, to speak on the new policy.
“The policy says maybe the policy should look like the White House or any other military installation,” Hegseth said, before accusing journalists of trying to get Defense Department employees to “break the law” by leaking information to them.
“I think when it comes to war … it bothers me to have even high-ranking generals walking around with you guys on their sleeve,” Trump told reporters. “Because they can make a mistake, and a mistake could be tragic.”

Last month, the overwhelming majority of the Pentagon Press Corps turned in their badges rather than comply with a new policy, now liberal news outlets are angry because they are not in a position to leak sensitive information.
Congratulations. Be your best!
