Former President Donald Trump is challenging one of his staunchest media allies.
First, some background: Trump dismissed Sean Hannity’s appeal to then-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to never talk about the 2020 presidential election again after the Capitol Building riot. Now, this week, Trump fired back at his opponents — and Hannity — after the Jan. 6 committee made Hannity’s texts to Meadows public. As Mediaite reports:
“I disagree with Sean on that statement and the facts are proving me right,” Trump said — referring to his baseless claims about the 2020 election being rigged against him.
A series of texts from Hannity to Meadows were released by the House January 6 committee on Tuesday night. The messages show Hannity calling for Trump to change his tact on dealing with the election. One message to Meadows and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), sent on Dec. 31, 2020, said:
“We can’t lose the entire WH counsels office. I do NOT see January 6 happening the way he is being told. After the 6th. [sic] He should announce will lead the nationwide effort to reform voting integrity. Go to Fl and watch Joe mess up daily. Stay engaged. When he speaks people will listen.”
Trump planned to hold a press conference Thursday morning to mark the first anniversary of the Capitol attack. But pushback from Fox News host Laura Ingraham and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) convinced him to scrap the idea.
Meanwhile, Mediaite reports that the Jan. 6 committee is requesting Hannity’s voluntary cooperation in its investigation.
“Our nation cannot let anything like January 6th ever happen again,” the letter to Hannity read. “Thus, we write today to seek your voluntary cooperation on a specific and narrow range of factual questions.”

The letter goes on to ask the Fox News host for “the name of [his] counsel” so that its members can “work closely with that person as soon as possible to schedule a time for a transcribed interview.”

Sean Hannity, as well as Jon Stewart have become irrelevant since Trump is no longer in the White House and they are desperately trying to become relevant again – so, they have chosen an issues that will get them press time. There is not loyalty among the press, no matter which side they are on. The only thing that matters to them is – is there name in the headlines.
So no matter what you think of the January 6th, or J.K. Rowling, it is about them not the story. When will we ever get journalists that give us the story NOT their opinion.

We have 4 years of law & order now i look forward to defeating the Democratic party leaders & hopefully see some of them get prison time which they deserve. America is a law & order under God nation.

There was not law and order when Trump was President. Riots all over the country, investigations resulting in no charges and a government so corrupt it slandered defamed and disrespected our President and half the nation. Every appointee to the DOJ, the FBI, the CIA and Homeland security was corrupt.
If the President (Trump) criticized Hannity, then Hannity should explain hat he was thinking. To the liberal idiots, this is called debate not hate. Those two go way back!
