In a recent segment, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough took aim at Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, slamming him for withholding an endorsement for Vice President Kamala Harris. Scarborough’s framed it as a battle between the wealthy elite and the average American — ignoring that hard data contradicts everything he claims, as well as the billionaires involved in other publications that have already declared their support for the Democratic ticket. His perspective is fundamentally flawed and at odds with the realities facing the American electorate.
Mediate reports:
The Washington Post’s own journalists reported that it was the decision of billionaire owner Jeff Bezos not to run an endorsement for Vice President Kamala Harris, less than two weeks before the high-stakes election – a move which brought widespread criticism from liberals.
Co-host Sam Stein said, “The CEOs have warmed up to Trump. Major publisher of a newspaper — Washington Post — Jeff Bezos pulled the endorsement. The people who are the guardrails or would have been the guardrails in past runs are not there right now…”
Scarborough interjected, “You’ve got billionaires running the Washington Post, billionaires running the LA Times, running X, all this peremptory bowing to Donald Trump. I have to say, this is just me; you can be upset about that, but if I’m running against that guy and those three billionaires… Whew! It is going to be a fun final nine days. It’s the billionaires versus us. It is the billionaires versus ‘We, the People.’ We can win. They can have their billions and buy their newspapers, but we the people can have the final word.”
This attempt at coopting and inverting Trump’s populist messaging will likely be ineffective, as the Democrats look especially desperate in the week leading up to the election, reverting to Hitler and Nazi comparisons in an effort to sway voters — while ignoring and undermining the most pressing issues they face.
Major media outlets — including MSNBC — have repeatedly insisted that the economy is “not that bad” and that voters are exaggerating the financial hardships they face under the Biden-Harris administration.
Readers should note that billionaires and mega corporations have given significantly more to Kamala Harris than they have to Donald Trump, and that Harris has relied heavily on celebrity endorsements — including billionaires like Taylor Swift.
In light of these realities, Scarborough’s criticism rings hollow for many Americans and strikes viewers as completely out of touch and potentially in denial. The Democrats’ failure to engage effectively with voters who are concerned about economic stability and rising costs has been evident in recent polls, where many express dissatisfaction with the current leadership.

With fools like Scarborough in front of the cameras it is no wonder MSNBC is tasing in the ratings.

My previous comment should have read “tanking” not “tasing”.
