Trump loyalist and former administration official Sebastian Gorka has launched a scathing attack on former ally Tucker Carlson, accusing the ex-Fox News host of fostering antisemitic views and undermining Donald Trump. Gorka, who now works as a talk radio host, made these claims in a fiery post on X (formerly Twitter), where he referred to an article by David Samuels in Tablet Magazine to support his assertions.
Gorka proposed “three plausible explanations” for Carlson’s recent behavior, suggesting that Carlson may be working on behalf of the federal government, harboring antisemitic views or harboring presidential ambitions. His critique focused on Carlson’s decision to give a platform to Darryl Cooper, a self-described historian who has espoused inaccurate and revisionist views on World War II and the Holocaust.
Cooper, featured on Carlson’s show, claimed that Winston Churchill was the primary villain of the war, while Adolf Hitler’s role in the Holocaust was the result of logistical failures rather than intentional genocide – a viewpoint that dismisses overwhelming historical evidence of the Nazis’ orchestrated “Final Solution.”
In his two-hour interview with Carlson, Cooper claimed that the Holocaust was caused by the flow of rolling stock deeper and deeper into Russia following Hitler’s invasion of the Soviet Union, which led to some 27 million dead Russians. The discussion between the two men either forgot to mention or ignored the fact that Hitler and the Nazi bureaucracy had a detailed “Final Solution” to the Jewish question that had been in the making for years. This included the Einsatzgruppen death squads murdering the college-educated and cultural elite of Poland, detailed reports and transcripts of the Wannsee Conference and the construction of over one thousand concentration camps of varying sizes across occupied Europe.
Of course, the notion that Carlson is a federal agent is another unfounded conspiracy theory. What is undeniable is that Gorka’s harsh critique has deepened the rift between former allies, threatening a schism in the conservative media landscape.
