Whoopi Says Biden Would Gain Huge Advantage If SCOTUS Grants Trump Immunity

“Let's look at a scenario where the Supreme Court says yes, he has all those rights,” Goldberg began on Friday's show.

“He is immune from everything,” the co-host proclaimed. “You know what Joe Biden could do since he is presently president?”

The Supreme Court announced on Wednesday that they have agreed to hear oral arguments in the case regarding at the end of April. Critics have accused the court, which seats three Trump appointees, of providing Trump with a delay tactic to push off the Jan. 6 case.

Trump has argued he has blanket immunity in his various criminal cases and the Supreme Court will be determining how far that immunity actually goes.

Goldberg suggested on Thursday's The View that Trump's claims of immunity would give Biden a free pass to do anything, including jailing political rivals.

“Let's look at a scenario where the Supreme Court says yes, he has all those rights. He is immune from everything. You know what Joe Biden could do since he is presently president? Wooooo!” Golberg said. “He could throw every Republican in jail. I mean, he could!”

Goldberg had to discourage some of the audience from applauding the idea.
