Letitia James Indicted for Mortgage Fraud
New York Attorney General Letitia James — a high-profile legal adversary of Donald Trump — was indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury on one count of mortgage fraud, in a case stemming from alleged falsified property documents used to obtain favorable loan terms on properties in Virginia and Brooklyn.
The indictment follows a criminal referral from FHFA Director Bill Pulte, who also filed referrals against Sen. Adam Schiff and Federal Reserve Board member Lisa Cook, accusing them of similar misconduct.
James’ office immediately denounced the indictment as “baseless and politically motivated,” linking it to her $464 million civil fraud judgment against Donald Trump.
“The timing and substance of these charges make clear what this is: retaliation,” her spokesperson said.
The political and legal fight shows no signs of cooling — and it’s raising new questions about accountability in office and its application.
Dominion Drops Lawsuits, Goes Full MAGA with Pro-Reform Buyer
Dominion Voting Systems, once at the center of America’s most high-stakes debate, has been acquired by Liberty Vote founder Scott Leiendecker, an election reform advocate and former Missouri election official.
As part of the deal, Dominion will drop remaining lawsuits against conservative figures including Mike Lindell, Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell and One America News Network (OANN).
Leiendecker, who now owns the company outright, says the acquisition marks a new chapter in election transparency and trust. He promises a shift to 100% American-made and operated systems, mandatory third-party audits, and a return to hand-marked paper ballots.
The company’s lawsuits previously cost media outlets like Fox News ($787 million) and Newsmax ($67 million). This change in ownership is a dramatic pivot — one that effectively ends Dominion’s war with right-wing media, and reframes the firm as a key player in future election reform.
Bad Bunny Sparks Backlash — TPUSA Launches “All American Halftime Show”
The 2026 Super Bowl halftime show is America’s latest culture war flashpoint.
While the NFL announced Bad Bunny — the global reggaeton superstar who performs exclusively in Spanish — as the headliner for this February’s halftime performance, the decision has triggered backlash from conservative fans and advocacy groups, citing the artist’s controversial comments about ICE and the U.S. government.
Now, Turning Point USA has unveiled an alternative.
“We’re thrilled to announce a performance that will reflect American values, not mock them,” TPUSA stated in a post on X.
Following Trump’s reelection, Bad Bunny said he feared fans would be detained by ICE if he toured in the United States, booking just one domestic date — his Super Bowl performance. On a Saturday Night Live appearance following the announcement of his upcoming halftime show, he taunted that viewers had four months to learn Spanish. Critics called his remarks anti-American and accused the NFL of political pandering.
The NFL has not responded to the TPUSA event. But with the game less than four months away, two rival halftime shows may be just the latest battleground in a widening divide over culture, identity, and patriotism.
