North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis (R) has expressed deep concern over former President Donald Trump’s association with far-right activist Laura Loomer. In a sharp rebuke on Friday, Tillis tweeted, “Laura Loomer is a crazy conspiracy theorist who regularly utters disgusting garbage intended to divide Republicans. A DNC plant couldn’t do a better job than she is doing to hurt President Trump’s chances of winning re-election. Enough.”

Tillis’ criticism aligns with similar concerns from prominent Republicans, including South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham and Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. Loomer, despite not holding an official role in Trump’s campaign, has been seen flying with him on his plane to a debate in Philadelphia and attending 9/11 memorial events.

Loomer, 31, has spread conspiracy theories related to 9/11. At times, she has expressed skepticism about the official narrative surrounding the 9/11 attacks and amplified unfounded claims that question the involvement of certain groups or suggest that the U.S. government had foreknowledge of the attacks.

She again sparked outrage earlier in the week after making racially charged remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris, drawing swift condemnation from Graham and Greene. Greene distanced herself from Loomer, stating, “This type of behavior should not be tolerated ever.” Loomer responded by accusing Greene of antisemitism and racism. She also offered free opposition research to anyone running against her, whether Republican or Democrat.

The controversy escalated further when White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre labeled Loomer’s comments as “repugnant,” urging political leaders to denounce such rhetoric.

In response to questions from reporters, Trump acknowledged Loomer as a supporter, calling her a “strong person with strong opinions.” However, in a Truth Social post on Friday, Trump clarified that while he disagrees with some of her statements, he defended her right to voice her frustrations against the “Radical Left Marxists and Fascists.”

    Stop this infighting! Stop it!
It’s not your business to decide who Trump associates with. Don’t you realize you’re giving ammo to the radical Left?
I wonder if free-thinkers can defeat the hive-minded Communists occupying our government. Liberals walk and talk and act in lockstep with the central authority.
Republicans lob hand-grenades into the middle of their own camp!
Here’s an idea, Patriots…let’s keep our mouths shut and get Donald Trump re-elected! Keep internal criticisms to yourself until AFTER the election! Then we can discuss such things freely, but first we must recapture the White House.
