Is One of Trump’s Favorite Republicans Running for President?

-

When speaking to magazine's Olivia Nuzzi at his private golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, former President said one reason he might make a presidential campaign announcement before the midterms if, indeed, he does run, would be to dissuade Republican hopefuls who he said: “would actually have a backlash against them if they ran.”

However, at least one Republican doesn't appear to have been dissuaded by Trump's thinly-veiled warning shot. More interestingly, she happens to be one of his favorite Republicans. Someone who is universally seen as a rising star within the GOP.

South Dakota Gov. .

The telegenic governor, whose COVID response made her a veritable star, is running a slickly produced political ad in early primary states, including neighboring Iowa and New Hampshire.

While circumstantial evidence of a desire by Noem to run for president, she has not publicly commented on the matter.

Most observers believe the 2024 Republican presidential primary belongs to either Trump or Florida Gov. .

However, Mediaite notes:

Neither man has declared and it is not if DeSantis has any intention to run for the party's nomination for president. That might not be the case for Noem.

She declared, “Freedom runs free. So Saddle up.”

The Daily Caller has more on the target audience's response:

Her campaign released a total of nine ads. Overall, the advertisement earned one quarter of its audience size from South Dakota, 11% in South Carolina, 10% in Ohio, nine percent in and six percent in Iowa, according to Meta summary data.

The advertisement earned the majority of its audience size from probable key swing states in the , including New Hampshire, Ohio and Iowa. One version of the ad earned 86% of its audience from New Hampshire, another earned 93% of its views from Ohio, and one garnered 87% of its views in Nevada. A separate advertisement earned 86% in Pennsylvania.

  1. Not interested Kristi Noem. You are still wet behind the ears. I’m not at all sure what you have achieved in your short life, but go back and rethink your strategy!

  2. I thought Trump’s policies and program were great for the country, but he brought hate from others. Time to move on so we can fix this mess, and he is just to controversial, the independents don’t support him. Can’t he support the party in another position other than President.

    • That is definitely not what I’ve seen. All know Pres Trump can and will fix this economy and get our respect back from foreign countries (which we did have until the idiot in chief Biden took office) . We won’t be seeing these ridiculous gas prices or a president begging others to pump more when we have plenty here in this country. As for the hate – I doubt many can hate Biden more than they do now. Even the dems can’t stand him.

    • The only Republicans that are upsetting Democrats are the ones staying away from Trump. If anyone is paying attention to what happened in Virginia needs to understand how they did it. The lady in Texas that took a seat Democrats have had for almost 100 years. Trump actually called her and said he was going to endorse her and she refused. Toxic and insulting will not win the Mom’s we need who are fighting for their children in school.
But Trump will not listen, this is all about him and his ego.

  3. Trump carries too much negative baggage (despite all his positive achievements) that the Socialist will use against him. The Socialist cannot be allowed to win in ’24; that would result in the total destruction of the country. Trump should play “The Kingmaker” (with apologies to John of Ghaunt). Cotton / Noem in ’24 is my ticket – Cotton for Foreign Policy and Military experience, Noem for Domestic Policy / Business Agriculture. The Republican must run a ticket that can win without giving anything to the Socialist as an tool.

  4. There are hundreds of Veterans in prison, even solitary confinement because of Trump’s ego. If you are constantly telling people how great you are, you’re not so great.
Trump’s economy??? Anyone heard of Ronald Reagan? Look it up, Trump took it page for page
