Arizona Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego is launching an effort to challenge a new Trump Administration immigration policy that could require many green card applicants to leave the United States and complete the process abroad.

According to a report from The Hill, Gallego is not only seeking to overturn the policy itself but is also pursuing a procedural strategy that could make it easier for Congress to reverse the change.

The dispute revolves around a recent U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) policy affecting how certain immigrants obtain lawful permanent residency.

[UPDATED — 9:17 a.m. EDT, Sunday]

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Vance L. Boelter, the suspect in the June 14 shootings that killed the top Democrat in the Minnesota Legislature and her husband and injured another lawmaker and their wife.

On Saturday morning, Boelter’s wife, Jenny Boelter, was detained during a traffic stop near Onamia, Minnesota, in Mille Lacs County — approximately 90 minutes north of the Twin Cities. Law enforcement swarmed a vehicle parked at a convenience store, where Jenny Boelter and several relatives of Vance Boelter were taken in for questioning. Authorities reportedly recovered a weapon, ammunition, cash, and passports from the vehicle. The response involved roughly a dozen squad vehicles and lasted two to three hours.

According to reports, investigators now believe Boelter’s motive was linked to the victims’ support for abortion rights. A “target list” found in his vehicle after an exchange of gunfire with officers contained more than 70 names, including high-profile Minnesota Democrats such as Governor Tim Walz and Representative Ilhan Omar.

[UPDATED — 1:46 p.m. EDT]

The suspect in the shooting of two top Minnesota Democrats has been identified as a former appointee of Governor Tim Walz (D).

As Mediaite reports:

A man suspected of posing as a police officer and shooting two Democratic Minnesota lawmakers Saturday was previously appointed by the state’s Democratic Governor Tim Walz as he was appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Development Council.

Julio Rosas with TheBlaze shared a copy of a notarized appointment signed by Walz shows Vance Luther Boelter was named to the Governor’s Workforce Development Board as a business member.

The letter reads, “Because of the special trust and confidence I have in your integrity, judgment, and ability, I have appointed and commissioned you to have and to hold the office of Business Member, GOVERNOR’S WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD.” The document was signed by Walz.

Rosas reported. “I’m told by a police source in Minnesota the suspect in the shootings of MN state lawmakers is Vance Luther Boelter. It appears it is the same Boelter who was appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Development Board in 2019 by Gov. Tim Walz. He appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Development Council in 2016 by then-Gov. Mark Dayton.”

Minnesota authorities say “No Kings” flyers were found in the car of a suspect who ambushed two prominent Democratic lawmakers early Saturday morning, killing one and critically injuring the other.

Key Details

Victims:

  • Confirmed deceased: Former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband.
  • Critically injured: State Senator John Hoffman and his wife.

In a rare political split, both lawmakers recently broke ranks: Hortman supported cutting free health care for adult illegal immigrants, and Hoffman helped Senate Republicans push the repeal through.

Incident Details:

The suspect reportedly posed as a law enforcement officer to gain access and carry out the attack. He is described as a white male with brown hair, last seen wearing black body armor over a blue shirt and blue pants.

Locations:

Champlin and Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

Status:

As of Saturday at 1 p.m. (EDT), the suspect remains at large. Authorities are urging the public to report any information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts by calling 911 immediately.

Suspect’s Motive Appears Political

Police say evidence points to a premeditated attack. The suspect left behind a manifesto naming multiple elected officials, according to Brooklyn Park Police Chief Thomas Johnson. That document, combined with the materials found in his car, suggests the shooting was politically motivated.

Among the items discovered were flyers bearing the slogan “No Kings,” which authorities have linked to the 50501 movement — a decentralized protest initiative critical of what it views as authoritarian tendencies in U.S. government.

The group organized nearly 2,000 demonstrations nationwide this weekend, coinciding with President Trump’s birthday.

What Is the 50501 Movement?

  • A loose-knit coalition with a digital footprint focused on anti-authoritarian activism.
  • Accuses President Trump of centralizing power and undermining democratic institutions.
  • The number “50501” refers to “50 protests, 50 states, 1 movement.”

Public Safety and Political Fallout

The shootings have sent shockwaves through Minnesota and beyond. The Trump administration is closely monitoring the situation, while officials urge residents in the affected areas to remain vigilant. Authorities have advised the public not to approach anyone matching the suspect’s description and to verify the identity of anyone claiming to be a law enforcement officer before opening their doors.

Law enforcement agencies across the state have been placed on high alert, and federal authorities are now assisting in the ongoing manhunt.

    Deplorable Mark

No Kings is certainly not “decentralized “. They apparently are funded by a former American billionaire, who lives in Red China, and other wealthy lefties. ($oreass?) And a massive online network. God willing, the violence can be contained. I wonder how closely the assianations in Minnesota are connected.

Wow! The new “weathermen”? Bet most folks do not want to be associated with that!

    ahem tonto

Trumpism is not the root cause of this political issue, liberalism is. Liberalism is irrefutably a mental disorder, and that is the true root cause of our nation’s current political clash. Note how the democrats(liberals)
are always demonizing republicans, conservatives, Libertarians, Independents and the few moderate democrats in D.C.

It does appear to be “politically motivated” bu not in the way Walz is hoping for. More smoke and mirrors from one of the worst governors in our country.
