A 27-year-old Oregon man is free today after being charged with multiple crimes for allegedly shining a blinding laser at Tesla dealership employees, reportedly causing eye injuries.

During a protest outside a Tesla dealership in downtown Portland on March 29, police arrested Davis Nafshun after he reportedly aimed a green laser pointer at Tesla employees inside the showroom. Two employees later reported eye discomfort and vision problems following the incident.

The protest was part of broader demonstrations against Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk, who has faced criticism for his political activities. Some protesters have targeted Tesla dealerships and vehicles, leading to arrests and federal charges in certain cases.

Nafshun’s actions were condemned by fellow protesters, who, upon viewing video evidence, stated that his behavior was “not okay” and supported his arrest.

Nevertheless, he was released on his own recognizance the same day.

According to The Post Millennial, Nafshun’s release without bail came despite facing a litany of charges, including two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of attempted felony assault and misdemeanor charges of menacing and reckless endangerment:

Court documents obtained by The Oregonian stated that police responded to the South Waterfront Portland Tesla dealership in the 4300 block of South Macadam Avenue, where an employee told officers that at least one person was pointing a green laser into the dealership at people inside.

According to police, two employees who had the laser pointed in their eyes experienced discomfort and problems with their vision. A third employee, who had previously had a laser pointed at their eyes days earlier, left the dealership to avoid it happening again.

An officer saw a video of Nafshun doing the same during an anti-Elon Musk protest outside the dealership. Police found Nafsun riding his bike away from the area and arrested him after recovering a green laser on his person.

Pointing lasers at individuals can cause serious eye injuries, including permanent vision damage. The American Academy of Ophthalmology warns that lasers with more than five milliwatts of power can cause lasting harm, especially with prolonged exposure.

The incident comes as a new study by the Network Contagion Research Institute found that 38% of respondents—out of a survey of more than 1,200 U.S. adults—said assassinating President Donald Trump would be at least somewhat justified, highlighting growing concerns that emotionally charged protests are increasingly escalating into dangerous and violent actions.

Why were they allowed inside the workplace to benign with?

WHYs was he released on his OWN RECOGNIZANCE? What recognizance did he have to get that privilege? Are we now resorting to the DIMS’ tactics of a slap on the wrist, NO BAIL, go do it again?

He is a CRIMINAL and he should be behind bars.

As Musk has stated, it’s time to stop arresting the PAID FOOT SOLDIERS and go after the GENERALS who are FUNDING this destruction.

Useless hard left Oregon judges… Be lucky if this punk ever sees any jail time.

Give him a free Caribbean vacation, 45 or 50 years at Gitmo should suffice, “We’re only questioning an admitted TERRORISM suspect. We’ll let him go when we’re done.”

Only in Oregon would a person that injured people go free. Never going near oregon ever again. it’s unsafe and givernment condones violence.

Throw the book at him. Off to prison. This can get very dangerous if not corrected immediately. These protesters are out of hand and need to be stopped before someone gets killed.

It would seem to me that, for dangerous people like this who are released back on the streets by blue states with a lack of legal systems, they should be put on a list along with other criminals and terrorists that will follow them wherever they go. There needs to be consequences for these actions, even though leftist officials refuse to do so. In the case of this brainless wonder, an eye for an eye.

There are two criminals here, the punk and the judge. Both are lawless.

The Lie-beral ‘judge’ is ok with the actions of his partner-in-crime. Typical.

After having impaired vision for the past seventy-five years I can not politely say how I feel about a POS who would do something so vile and despicable to another person so I will not try. I will say that if radical Portland leftist named Davis Loren Nafshun is found guilty of this terrorist attack he should be placed in solitary confinement in a light-less cell for the duration of his sentence which should be extensive but not to exceed life.
