The Harris campaign is making a point of courting establishment Republicans, trying to position herself as a commonsense alternative to Trump for voters that have traditionally voted for GOP candidates, but reject the Republican nominee.
At a campaign appearance in Scottsdale, Arizona, she shared an anecdote about the state’s former senator John McCain, insisting that they had an amiable relationship.
“And then I step onto the floor of the well of the Senate later that day — we had votes — and I passed by John McCain, and he looks at me and he says, ‘Kid, come over here. You’re going to make a great senator.’ True story. True story. True story. That was John McCain. That was John McCain. I was talking about him last night at a rally, right? John McCain, who — you know, we didn’t agree on everything, but, man, I mean, what about an incredible American hero? Again, strength — strength — right? — we know what the former president said about John McCain; I’m not going to repeat it here — but strength.”
McCain’s daughter and former host of ‘The View’ took issue with the implications of what Harris and other Democrats were saying on the campaign trail, and insinuated her late father didn’t have a positive opinion of Kamala Harris, threatening to reveal what he really thought if they continued using his name and memory to elect her.

Meghan McCain threatened to divulge what her late father really thought of Vice President Kamala Harris Friday night, citing her annoyance with Democrats who were attempting to “bastardize his memory” to score political points.
The daughter of the veteran former lawmaker and 2008 Republican presidential nominee – who has been critical of former President Donald Trump for years – threatened to come down on Democrats in a pair of posts on her X account.
“Now, I know democrats want to reinvent history and turn my Dad into any illusion you guys need him to be depending on the political moment you need to bastardize his memory for. But please don’t make me start sharing what I remember him ACTUALLY saying about Kamala Harris….”
Like her father, Meghan McCain has been a vocal Trump critic, but hasn’t gone as far as endorsing Harris, unlike other members of her party with a similar distaste for the former president and the direction he’s taken the party.
Harris recently secured endorsements from Republicans Jeff Flake and Dick Cheney, a former senator and vice president respectively, and hopes that they will help her make headway with other “Never Trump” Republicans.

Meghan, just like the daddy she made a living off, is not a republican . She is a RINO at best. Mommy appointed by Biden, daddy supported Obama. Meghan is a Murkowski, Romney type “Republican”.
She really needs to stop with any threats and just say what her father’s thoughts against Kamala were. Perhaps her brother needs to know first as he has become a democrat and as a fairly high ranking military person he must not be too smart when it comes to politics.
It is these treasonous democrats disguised as republicans who are responsible for all dem successes. None of this law fare, illegal spying, etc. Without them Republicans would have the house, and senate, and the Deep State Swamp which they are key to would be restrained. Trump has been running against the radical left, and 1/2 of the republican Party who are FAKE REPUBLICANS. Trump is a threat to their once stealth, now exposed, SINGLE PARTY SYSTEM. A tyrannical vehicle allowing them to create illusions, controling the flow of information, censoring alternative views, and anointing whoever they want. Connecting the dots reveals all, the truth always surfaces.
Too many are more concerned of ” party” than the welfare of THIS COUNTRY. The Democrats want to take this country and people down a road to hell. Kamala Harris has proven and is continuing to prove she is unfit to serve and has no policy of any kind for good of this country. Megan McCain should share with the people of this country if she has something to share, unless she is of the same character as Kamala Harris.
