Heading into the holiday weekend, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed—or feigned—concerns for President-elect Donald Trump’s safety, alleging that the attacks on Trump and his family have reached levels even criminal organizations in Russia would not employ. Putin’s comments, seen by many as an attempt to ingratiate himself with Trump, came during remarks in which he also praised the incoming president’s intelligence and caution.
“Absolutely uncivilized methods have been used against Trump,” Putin stated, referencing what he described as an ongoing series of challenges Trump has faced, including alleged assassination attempts. “I think he’s not safe even now.”
Putin went further, lamenting the treatment of Trump’s family. “Not only was Trump subjected to humiliating court procedures and accusations, but his family was attacked as well. His children were attacked. Gangsters don’t do this.”
“I think President Trump is a smart person and a cautious one,” Putin continued, expressing confidence in his capacity to navigate these pressures.
NEW: Putin says he believes Donald Trump is in danger, says his family is being hit by attacks that even gangsters in Russia wouldn't do.

Putin, who seems to be trying to flatter Trump, said he was confident the president-elect could find a solution in Ukraine.

Analysts believe that Putin’s comments may serve broader geopolitical objectives amid the ongoing war in Ukraine, which remains the most significant issue for Moscow.
On Wednesday, Trump appointed retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg as special envoy to Ukraine and Russia, entrusting him with the mission of facilitating peace negotiations amid the ongoing quagmire.
Initially a low-intensity conflict, the fighting escalated into a devastating all-out war following Russia’s attempted blitzkrieg on Ukraine on February 2022. Within days, the advance on Kyiv stalled, and as of mid-September 2024, estimates indicate up to 1,000,000 casualties on both sides.

I’d say, it is nice of President Putin to be concerned about President Trump’s safety.
Let’s be honest: There is enough reason for such worry: Two attempted assassinations, and a potential third one..
Many of the Tsars had less than that – and yet, some were killed; so, Putin knows what he is talking about.
And it’s not him – not even Zelensky (he has noticed that Ukraine is losing too much, in men and in productivity.)
So, PEACE IS NOT NECESSARILY SOMETHING TO BE AFRAID OF! – AND TRUMP MEANS PEACE!
Among reasonable people, that is. But Zelensky is not the one – I’d fear Vindman and Nuland more!
And elsewhere, there are madmen who preferably bomb women and children one can’t talk:
So, the killing in Gaza may still go on when I’m 90 -in 11 years- unless everybody has been killed.
Of course, if Trump would interfere there, he’d have to fear Mossad (though not sure – Whose are they?)
LET’S WISH HIM LUCK AND GOOD HEALTH – WE’LL NEED HIM!
Putin should know about gangsters as he is one.
