Ramaswamy Was Already Worth Millions When He Accepted Soros Award To Pay For Law School

-

Republican presidential candidate claims he accepted a Soros scholarship to pay for law school because he had no other way to afford it after graduating from Harvard. However, he reported $2.2 million in income the very same year.

Ramaswamy defended himself last month after it was revealed that he accepted a $90,000 award from the , founded by ' late brother, Paul.

Ramaswamy claimed that he couldn't have afforded to attend Yale Law School otherwise.

“There was a separate scholarship that I won at the age of 24-25 when I was going to law school in my mid-20s, in my early 20s, when I didn't have the money, and it was a merit scholarship that hundreds of kids win, that was partially funded, not by George Soros, but by Paul Soros, a relative, his brother,” Ramaswamy recently explained.

“And to be perfectly honest with you, I would have had to be a fool to turn down that scholarship at the age of 24,” he added.

He did not disclose that he was simultaneously employed by QVT Financial, an investment management firm in , as reports:

In 2011, the same year he accepted the award, Ramaswamy reported $2,252,209 in total income, according to his tax returns, which he released in June. He reported a total of $1,173,690 in income in the three years prior.

“Vivek won a generic scholarship that hundreds of students win to attend graduate school,” his campaign's spokesperson, Tricia McLaughlin, told Fox News Digital. “It was funded by a relative of George Soros who is long dead.”

“Vivek would have been a fool to turn down that scholarship – Anyone who would have shouldn't get anywhere near the doing trade deals,” she continued. “In fact, there's only one candidate that will be on stage Wednesday night whom George Soros has said he wants to win this primary – and it's not Vivek.”

McLaughlin was likely referring to comments Soros made at the Munich Security Conference in February.

Soros expressed his desire for to win the nomination, believing that if he does, would run as a third-party candidate, all but guaranteeing 's reelection.

  1. Who cares? I would accept money from Paul Soros if he were still alive. I would accept money from George Soros. If anyone wants to give me money with no strings attached, I will accept it without a second thought. This is a non-story…

    • In order to receive Soros money of any kind, one must accept whatever strings the Puppet Master decides to pull, when, where, and how hard. Vivek has greatly disappointed me. I have even sent him money hoping for a great VP. I wish I could get it back. Now, I will be look towards Tim Scott who has the government experience and human touch needed to balance Trump. Vivek shot himself once in the foot with his anti-Jew and anti-Israel stance (since God calls them His Chosen People). Now, the Communist/Socialist support from Soros is revealed.

      • If you were talking about George Soros, you would be correct. Please read Vivek’s platform, look up the Paul Soros Foundation, and reconsider based on new facts.

    • No, it isn’t a non-story. He said he took the money because he didn’t have enough to pay for law school. That, as we now see, was a lie! I am very disappointed in Vivek, and he will not have my vote if, G-d forbid, Pres. Trump does not run in 2024.

  2. This is an incorrect repeat of an incorrect hit job. Paul Soros’ foundation gives scholarships to children of IMMIGRANTS, not based on income. If Vivek could use money from Paul Soros instead of his own, Good on Him! He is a threat only to the World Dictators, Washington Dictators, not to free Americans, because he knows their game, has brilliant ideas, and hasn’t brashly insulted all his potential friends. This kind of hit job ought to be beneath American Liberty News.

  3. Typical zionist ploy to conflate criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism. Real conservatives need to stop being wagged by that dog.

  4. This, ties to the frequent comments I see saying Vivek blows in the wind of popular opinion makes me say no thanks.

But I was already MAGA, so it’s a moot point.

  5. I would accept big bucks from any left-wing socialist loony if they wanted to give it to me. Then turn around and use it against them.

After all, isn’t that what three-fourths of the politicians in Washington do to their own citizens?
