According to sources in contact with the New York Post, Melania Trump isn’t nearly as thrilled as her husband about the coverage he’s receiving from multiple criminal investigations.
Per the report, the former president and his team believe the prospect of an indictment will rile up his base, cementing his frontrunner status in the 2024 Republican presidential primary.
But an insider at Mar-a-Largo says Melania is desperate to be done with the attention and above all, wants to protect her 17-year-old son, Barron.
The insider told the Post, “She hasn’t been coming out for the dinners and events at Mar-a-Lago. He is acting like everything is normal, but she hasn’t been social.”

We hear Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, a former senior White House adviser, are similarly steering clear.
“They want nothing to do with this,” says a source. “They are staying away and don’t want to be hounded by reporters. I don’t think you will see them defending him, it will be no comment.”
The source added: “Ivanka lost a lot of friends and her social scenes during his presidency … They want to put it in the rearview. They want it behind them.”

The Post reported in November that Trump begged both Ivanka and Kushner, who have three children together, to join his campaign team.
However, Trump denied this, claiming on social media that he wanted his daughter and son-in-law to stay away from the “mean and nasty” political world.
