Report: House Freedom Caucus Expels Marjorie Taylor Greene

-

The conservative has reportedly expelled Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene from its ranks.

Caucus board member Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.) confirmed the vote to multiple news outlets Thursday afternoon.

“A vote was taken to remove from the House Freedom Caucus for some of the things she's done,” Harris told Politico and CNN on Thursday.

A spokesperson for the House Freedom Caucus would not confirm whether the group voted to remove Greene, pointing to its policy of confidentiality. “HFC does not comment on membership or internal process,” they said.

Greene's office also did not respond to an inquiry on her membership status.

Greene's apparent removal from the group comes after she broke with many of her colleagues on supporting the debt bill deal that House Speaker (R-Calif.) struck with President . She has become a close ally of McCarthy, supporting him for Speaker even as opposition from many of her Freedom Caucus colleagues forced a historic 15-ballot election in January.

“I think all of that mattered,” Harris said, referring to the debt bill and Greene's support for McCarthy.

However, the Maryland Congressman said it was Greene's most recent clash with fellow caucus member Rep. (R-Colo.) that triggered the vote to remove her.

“I think the way she referred to a fellow member was probably not the way we expect our members to refer to their fellow, especially female, members,” Harris said.

  1. It really doesn’t matter how much money you’re making. When your grammar is that incorrect, the world sees you as a fool.

  2. House Freedom Caucus and other caucus should be banned and our congressmen should attend to their
business of making the lives better for the citizens who elected them.

  3. So they aren’t willing to reveal the specifics – sounds like that ‘caucus’ isn’t really about ‘freedom’ after all, unless one follows their ‘rules’.

  4. Won’t release the “specifics”. That means the RINO’s don’t approve of Green who displays more courage and integrity than the entire very misnamed caucus. This will only endear her even more. She stands up for America NOT the GOP which is full of traitors.

  5. Let me see if I got this right. What Marjorie said was so egregious, that the “specifics” can’t be known by the public…(translation) if the public knew the specifics, six-to-and even, they would support that little fire ball and make the R.I.N.O.’s squirm. I’ve read some of the verbal gymnastics and put downs of the forefathers, as they debated rather heavy matters of state during our founding. Some of it inspired threats of dueling and unless Marjorie threatened direct physical, arrest able harm to anyone, we’ve got liberal crybabies on our hands. This smacks of Marxist tactics…just saying!

  6. WHY can’t we ALL come together and be NICE . . . instead of doing the DEMONIC Left’s work to DIVIDE and CONQUER?!? Just SAYIN’.
