President Donald Trump has issued a directive to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to pursue penalties against law firms and attorneys who file what he describes as “frivolous” litigation against the federal government. The move comes in response to the numerous legal battles his administration has faced, with Trump accusing lawyers and law firms of disregarding civil procedure rules designed to prevent legal filings with the goal of harassing or causing unnecessary delays.
In a presidential memorandum released on Saturday, Trump pointed out that far too many attorneys have used the judicial process to launch baseless partisan attacks against the government. He referenced the long-standing civil procedure rules that in his opinion have been largely ignored.
The president’s directive instructs Bondi, 59, to recommend additional steps the government could take to combat what he’s characterized as vexatious litigation. Trump has requested that the Attorney General consider penalties such as sanctions, security clearance reassessments, and the potential removal of government contracts with law firms that are found to be filing frivolous lawsuits.
Trump’s administration has faced over 100 lawsuits since he took office, including a slew of injunctions and court orders that have impeded some of his executive actions. This past month alone, 15 injunctions were imposed against Trump’s orders, particularly those challenging policies on birthright citizenship and the deportation of criminal migrants. These roadblocks have drawn criticism from the Trump administration, which has filed petitions with the U.S. Supreme Court to limit the ability of lower courts to impose such injunctions.
In addition to sanctions, Trump’s memorandum also asks Bondi to examine litigation against the government that spans back to the beginning of his first administration.
Recently, Trump issued an executive order imposing restrictions on law firms like Paul Weiss and Perkins Coie, both of which have had a history of working with Democratic clients. The executive order on Paul Weiss prompted the firm to agree to provide $40 million worth of pro bono legal services to the Trump administration.
The law firm Perkins Coie won a temporary restraining order against one of Trump’s executive orders that would have prevented its lawyers from interacting with federal agencies or accessing government buildings. Perkins Coie was notably involved in the creation of the Steele dossier, a controversial document that was funded by the Clinton campaign in 2016.
His memo cited the Elias Law Group, which was involved in the opposition research against Trump during the 2016 election, including the debunked Steele dossier. Trump emphasized that law firms and individual lawyers have a responsibility to uphold justice and order rather than using their power to pursue partisan goals.

I t seems that the lawyer scams have gotten more out of hand.
Why has it become that you can sue anybody for anything?
“…When judicial proceedings are conducted according to Yahweh’s protocol, grand juries are as unnecessary and inherently flawed as are petit, or trial, juries. (See Chapter 6 for information concerning the United States Constitutional Republic’s unbiblical jury system.) Yahweh has provided the following six safeguards in His Word:
“Safeguard 1:
‘Be not a witness against thy neighbor without cause…. ‘(Proverbs 24:28)
“Frivolous cases that fail to merit the court’s attention should be immediately dismissed. This criterion alone would eliminate most cases clogging today’s courts….”
For the remaining five safeguards, see Chapter 14 “Amendment 5: Constitutional vs. Biblical Judicial Protection” of free online book “Bible Law vs. the United States Constitution: The Christian Perspective” at bible versus constitution dot org. Oh, the Trial Lawyers Association will be all over this one. Frivolous lawsuits are the bread and butter of ambulance chasing shysters who donate huge sums to Democrats.
Amen, Brother!!!
