ANALYSIS – In the world of no, this is unacceptable – a trans woman punched the hell out of a biological woman in Paris. While the brutality happened in a boxing ring during a match doesn’t change the reality.
This is a travesty and gross violation of women’s rights.
In addition to being outraged, everyone should be asking presumptive Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris (a woman) what she thinks of the incident. Especially as she has long-championed trans rights, over women’s rights.
The bout between Italy‘s Angela Carini and her Algerian opponent Imane Khelif lasted only 46 seconds, with the Italian throwing her helmet onto the floor as the clash was abandoned, yelling: “This is unjust.”
Carini rightly refused the man’s handshake and fell to the canvas sobbing having received just two devastating punches from the biologically much stronger man.
Speaking after the match, the heartbroken Italian said: “I’m used to suffering. I’ve never taken a punch like that, it’s impossible to continue. You all saw my nose that started bleeding. I didn’t lose tonight, I just surrendered with maturity.”
The Italian boxer was taken away for medical assessment of her facial injuries which included a badly bruised, if not broken, nose.
Khelif was previously banned from a major boxing contest before the Olympics. He was thrown out of last year’s world championships after failing testosterone tests carried out to establish gender qualification.
Does this look like a woman to anyone? He is a man who enjoys beating women.

It might also be a good time to ask what Algeria’s Muslim majority thinks of being represented by a man who says he‘s a woman. In their official congratulatory messages, Algerian officials referred to Khelif as Iman, rather than the more feminine Imane.
The International Boxing Association (IBA) which is separate from the Olympics, and has sane policies, made a statement regarding “Athletes Disqualifications in World Boxing Championships 2023.”
The group said:
On 24 March 2023, IBA disqualified athletes Lin Yu-ting and Imane Khelif from the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships New Delhi 2023. This disqualification was a result of their failure to meet the eligibility criteria for participating in the women’s competition, as set and laid out in the IBA Regulations. This decision, made after a meticulous review, was extremely important and necessary to uphold the level of fairness and utmost integrity of the competition.
Point to note, the athletes did not undergo a testosterone examination but were subject to a separate and recognized test, whereby the specifics remain confidential. This test conclusively indicated that both athletes did not meet the required necessary eligibility criteria and were found to have competitive advantages over other female competitors.
The decision made by IBA on 24 March 2023, was subsequently ratified by the IBA Board of Directors on 25 March 2023. The official record of this decision can be accessed on the IBA website here IBA Board of Directors Meeting Minutes.
Sadly, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has very different standards.
The IBA’s statement concluded:
While IBA remains committed to ensuring competitive fairness in all of our events, we express concern over the inconsistent application of eligibility criteria by other sporting organizations, including those overseeing the Olympic Games. The IOC’s differing regulations on these matters, in which IBA is not involved, raise serious questions about both competitive fairness and athletes’ safety.
As The Daily Mail reported:
Bosses at the IOC are now facing a furious backlash following the fight, with former Prime Minister Liz Truss blasting the clash.
Writing on Twitter, the former Tory MP said: ‘When will this madness stop? Men cannot become women. Why is the British Government not objecting to this?’
British Olympic hero Sharron Davies also waded into the controversy, raging: ‘This is shocking. The IOC are a bloody disgrace. In effect legalizing beating up females. This must stop!!! What the hell’s the matter with them?’
Meanwhile, Harry Potter author JK Rowling branded the bout “insanity.” In a post on X, the female author, who has received a lot of flak for her criticism of transgenderism, wrote: “What will it take to end this insanity? A female boxer left with life-altering injuries? A female boxer killed?”
Posting a video of the fight today, the author added: “Watch this (whole thread), then explain why you’re OK with a man beating a woman in public for your entertainment. This isn’t sport. From the bullying cheat in red all the way up to the organisers who allowed this to happen, this is men revelling in their power over women.”
AMEN TO THAT. So, Kamala Harris, this is a big deal. As a female candidate for president of the United States, what do you say about it? Should men be allowed to beat women to a pulp, or even to death, in female sports?
