Shockwaves as general in critical sector is dismissed…
Pokrovsk, a largely deserted city situated just 18 kilometers (11 miles) from the border of Ukraine’s Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, has become the center of some of the fiercest battles during Russia’s nearly three-year-long invasion of Ukraine. Despite its strategic significance and robust defenses, a surprising turn of events has occurred: the Armed Forces of Ukraine have reportedly abandoned a newly constructed defensive line shielding the strategic city.
The revelation first appeared on X, where military bloggers reported that, despite the defensive line being well-prepared and supplied, it was left unmanned, allowing Russian forces to capture it without a fight.
Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov bitterly criticized Ukraine’s military leadership, stating, “A well-fortified area near Pokrovsk was finally constructed at the cost of tens of millions of hryvnia. However, due to poor management decisions by the command, our soldiers were never deployed there.”
In response to ongoing criticism and the relentless assault of Russian forces in the eastern Donetsk region, Ukraine’s military leadership made a significant change in command by dismissing the commander overseeing defenses in that area.
General Oleksandr Tarnavskiy has been appointed to lead the operational and tactical group in Donetsk, succeeding General Oleksandr Lutsenko, who Butusov and others blame for failing to halt the Russian drive.
💔 This is #Myrnohrad in the #Donetsk region, or more precisely, what's left of the city. As the frontline moves closer, the streets are completely deserted. The Russian occupiers are already 1.8 km/1 mi from Myrnohrad outskirts.

Meanwhile, dramatic video footage has surfaced allegedly showing North Korean forces engaging in assaults resembling human wave attacks across open terrain against Ukrainian positions near Kursk, marking the first battlefield engagement by North Korea’s army in over 70 years.
Kim Jong-un’s decision to send young men to fight in Russia’s invasion is widely seen as a strategy to gain access to Russian military technology, underscoring the growing international dimensions of the war.
As President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken continue to send billions in aid to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, both Ukraine and Russia are maneuvering to secure the best possible positions.
Leaders in Kyiv and Moscow are preparing for what they anticipate will be an aggressive push for a ceasefire once President-elect Donald Trump takes office on Jan. 20, 2025.
The urgency of the situation may compel both parties to take even bolder actions in the coming weeks.

Biden has delivered billions or trillions of taxpayers money to Ukraine’s oligarchs. This from the start has all of the appearances of Biden’s promised influence to Ukraine’s oligarchs for the millions they paid to Hunter for the U.S. president’s influence and power. So now the world and Ukraine in particular have observed how corruption can annihilate a nation, a society, while providing the wealthy of those societies with immense wealth. Zelensky et al. So what is the reason Biden should not be investigated along with Obama for global corruption? If you are a victim of a hurricane in Florida, North or South Carolina, too bad, FEMA doesn’t have sufficient funds to assist you. Those funds went to the illegal immigrants. Could there be a kickback from the coyotes, drug lords to Biden for opening the borders? The answer is yes.

The important bit here would seem to be the “18km from the Donetzk border” as that is, presumably, the distance the Russian army wants to go!
Why? Because that is the border of DonBass, the Russian area given to Ukraine in 1918 byGermany
