‘Shot To Pieces’: Tucker’s Guest Makes Uncorroborated Claim About US Forces Entering Gaza

-

Far-left influencers and discredited pro-Palestinian websites with a thoroughly documented left-wing bias warmly received comments by Ret. U.S. Army Col. to earlier this week.

Carlson posted a long-form interview with Macgregor on X, formerly Twitter, four days ago with the caption: “Looks like we're actually going to war with Iran. Are we ready for this?”

During their discussion, Macgregor made an unfounded claim that U.S. special forces have already seen combat in Gaza. At one point, Macgregor told Carlson that terrorists had shot a group of special forces operators to pieces.

A Palestinian news agency with alleged ties to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad retweeted Macgregor's statement:

As RealClearPolitics' Tim Hains reports:

Retired Col. Douglas Macgregor offered a very pessimistic assessment of what could happen if the U.S. becomes directly involved in the -Gaza war, which he also says has already occurred “in the last 24 hours or so.”

“In the last 24 hours or so, some of our Special Ops forces and Israeli Special Ops forces went into Gaza to reconnoiter, to plan for where they might want to go to free hostages and make an impact, and they were shot to pieces and took heavy losses, as I understand it,” Macgregor told Tucker Carlson on Twitter/X. “And once we are a co-belligerent, we enter this thing, it is going to be very difficult for and Turkey not to also come into this fight against us because they will not tolerate the sort of collective punishment that Israel plans for Gaza.”

Israeli media is reporting that one IDF soldier was killed in Gaza on Sunday but there appears to be no mention of Americans.

“We have to expect the worst if we strike Iran,” Mcgregor said at one point.
