Those who do not will learn the consequences “over the next two days.”
On Monday evening, President Donald Trump issued a blunt warning on Truth Social, urging residents of Tehran to evacuate immediately. The statement comes as Israel continues its sweeping aerial campaign targeting Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure — a preemptive effort to prevent the theocracy from acquiring nuclear weapons. The operation has triggered international alarm and revealed growing divisions within the Republican Party over the extent of U.S. involvement in yet another Middle East conflict. Trump made it clear where he stands: “IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON,” he posted. “What a shame, and waste of human life.” He warned that further Israeli action was imminent, adding, “You’re going to find out over the next two days.”
When asked at the G7 summit whether Israel would slow the pace of its offensive, Trump reiterated: “You’re going to find out. Nobody’s slowed up so far.”
G7 Departure Underscores Urgency
Trump’s early departure from the G7 summit in Alberta, Canada underscored the gravity of the unfolding crisis. The White House later confirmed he left to “address the evolving crisis in the Middle East,” as administration officials continued to monitor the situation closely. Despite international calls for de-escalation — including from fellow G7 leaders — Trump has stressed the need for “a real end” to the conflict, a stance echoed across much of the international community.

Separately, Trump has said Washington was working on helping Americans who were trying to flee the region, adding: “We’re working on that, we’re doing the best we can.”
While Washington has said Trump was still aiming for a nuclear deal with Iran, the commander-in-chief insisted he wasn’t looking for a cease-fire.
Trump said he wanted a “real end” to the nuclear problem, adding that it meant Iran “giving up entirely.”
“If they want to talk, they know how to reach me. They should have taken the deal that was on the table – Would have saved a lot of lives,” Trump said in a Truth Social post about Iran.Israel has said its sweeping assault on Iran’s top military leaders, nuclear scientists, uranium enrichment sites and ballistic missile program is necessary to prevent its longtime adversary from getting any closer to building an atomic weapon.

U.S. Stance: No Military Action Yet, But All Options Open
Although the United States has not formally joined Israel’s military effort, Trump reiterated that “all options remain on the table.” The message is consistent with a longstanding U.S. position that Iran must never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons.
