WASHINGTON — President Trump signed a proclamation granting full, unconditional pardons to at least 77 individuals tied to his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
Key figures pardoned
The list includes some of Trump’s closest associates and legal strategists:
- Rudy Giuliani, former personal lawyer.
- Mark Meadows, former White House chief of staff.
- Sidney Powell and John Eastman, attorneys involved in the so-called “alternate electors” scheme.
- Kenneth Chesebro and Boris Epshteyn, also among the strategic team.
The proclamation covers “conduct relating to the advice, creation, organization, execution, submission, support … of any slate or proposed slate of presidential electors … and efforts to expose voting fraud and vulnerabilities in the 2020 presidential election.”
The pardons apply only to federal offenses. They do not cover state prosecutions in states such as Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Nevada.
Trump did not include himself in the pardon proclamation.
Many of the individuals named were not federally charged for their 2020 election work. These pardons are largely symbolic in that sense.
As Mediaite reports:
The pardons were disclosed late Sunday night by the Department of Justice’s pardon attorney, Ed Martin, who posted a post on X:

Also included in the sweeping clemency order were Republican activists who had served as fake electors for Trump in 2020, and who faced charges for submitting fraudulent certificates asserting they were the lawful electors, despite former President Joe Biden’s victories in those states.
Why it matters
- The move is a major step in rewriting the legal and political aftermath of the 2020 election-certification fight — often cited as culminating in the events of Jan. 6, 2021.
- Because many state-level investigations remain active (or are possible), the federal pardons shift the battle to state jurisdictions.
Trump began issuing numerous pardons early in his second term, including mass clemency for those convicted in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

“…attorneys involved in the so-called ‘alternate electors scheme’.”
…not a ‘scheme’, it was a Constitutional process!
Your writing sucks, btw!
Good. He should pardon everyone has has been, is being, or might be persecuted by the so unamerican, lying deep state and their anti-Constitution democrat allies. Alternate electors have long been a part of Presidential elections, this was no different. And state-level democrat administrations are pursuing this because they don’t want evidence of their widespread fraud and cheating to be exposed, let alone proven.
I am sure Trump did not use the autopen that is now infamous as Biden’t time used it for everything and by everyone who could pick it up and was not stopped by any in that infamous circle. Go Trump. Tired of seeing and hearing and reading about the petty pursuit of GOP, conservatives and anyone who stands or stood against the dimwit nitwits agenda!
And as a side to this post, I expect it to disappear from sight as soon as I hit the submit key. Posting here is posting into the toilet. It is immediately flushed or removed so who bother leaving this on your pages of public consumption? It is a joke and makes your sites a joke!
