Trump Honors New York’s Finest Following Court Appearance

-

continues to go on the offensive, even in the most liberal enclaves.

After a long day in court in Lower Manhattan on Thursday, where he is facing criminal charges for allegedly falsifying business records to conceal hush money paid to Stormy Daniels, Trump visited a fire station. Known for his strong ties with the community, he stopped to buy two pizzas on his way to the firehouse before proceeding to Trump Tower. Carl Higbie of Newsmax gave a detailed description of Trump's visit to the fire station.

“It looks like Donald Trump's gonna come up and give a few words here,” Higbie announced. “We're following him. It looks like he's actually gonna get back in the car. But I love when that guy gives the impromptu press conference. Keep our eye on this real quick. This is unbelievable. This guy – nonstop. He gets out of court, goes over, grabs a slice of pizza, crawls in the car, he's going back to Fifth Avenue at Trump Tower. This is like, this is the we need.” (RELATED: Biden Not Allowed To Walk To Marine One Alone Anymore)

The New York Post has more:

Trump, 77, arrived at FDNY's Engine Co. 8, Ladder Co. 2 in Midtown with two Xeno's Pizza boxes in hand at around 5:30 p.m.

The campaign had dropped off 10 boxes of different pizzas, including pepperoni, for the hungry first responders prior to his arrival.

“You gotta win!” one firefighter told Trump as he met with the battalion.

“Sir, save us please,” another implored.

The Republican nominee chatted with the firefighters for some time before departing for Trump Tower.

“I love you all – special people,” he wrote in the station's daybook.

Speaking to the Post, one firefighter described Trump as “very personable” and thanked him for visiting.

“He speaks to you not at you,” he said of the presidential front-runner.

When asked about President Biden, the first responder said, “He tries.”
