Impacts reported…
Iran has launched hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel in retaliation for its intensified military campaign against Hezbollah and the recent invasion of Southern Lebanon. In response, Israel’s Arrow-2 and Arrow-3 anti-ballistic missile defense systems were activated, with interceptors deployed across Central Israel.

Preliminary reports indicate that Israeli air defenses intercepted most of the missiles, but impacts have been reported, including in Tel Aviv—Israel’s largest city and its economic and technological center.

Air raid alerts sounded throughout Central and Southern Israel, while dozens of aircraft have been reported flying over Eastern Syria, signaling an escalation that risks a wider war in the Middle East.
Video posted to X by journalist Séamus Malekafzali allegedly shows missiles or missile fragments impacting near Tel Aviv.
Iranian missiles clearly impacting in Tel Aviv. Never thought I'd see something like this, even after the retaliatory attack in April. pic.twitter.com/BZIBCGTAgV

Mass Shooting Confirmed In Ongoing Situation
The strike coincides with reports of a mass shooting in Jaffa, a suburb of Tel Aviv. Several casualties, including eight fatalities, have been reported, with Israeli police categorizing the incident as an Islamic terrorist attack. Video posted to X appears to show multiple deceased civilians near a light rail station as gunshots ring out in the background. Security forces responded by shooting and killing two suspected terrorist gunmen.
The attacks by Tehran come less than a week before the start of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Beginning on the first day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei, in 2024, it will start at sundown on Sunday, Oct. 6, and end at nightfall on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
Earlier on Tuesday, a U.S. official warned that any direct attack on Israel “will have severe consequences” for the Islamic Republic.
Shortly after 1 p.m. (EDT), the Fars news agency reported that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for the attacks on “the heart of the occupied territories” and justified them following the recent deaths of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and IRGC Deputy Commander of Operations Gen. Abbas Nilforoushan.
Former President Donald Trump issued his own response:
This is how a leader responds to war.

This confrontation has been escalating since Hezzbouleh started attacking Israel on Oct 8, 2023. Yes they have attacked Israel over the past 20+ years on a regularly irregular basis but this has been a continuous attack of some 8000 missiles, and drones along with threats. Why is it that Biden/Harris has NOT told Iran hezbouleh, hamas not to escalate but loudly demands that Israel not escalate tensions and “immediately” ceasefire. Ib effect the US allows (encourages) the enemies of Israel to strike against Israel since they know the US will step in and tie Israel’s hands
