To say that Carl Cameron has become disillusioned with his former employer would be an understatement.
Cameron, Fox News’ chief political correspondent until 2017, slammed his old network, and Tucker Carlson in particular, in a cable news appearance earlier this week. (RELATED: Tucker Carlson Fires Back at Claims He Inspired Mass Shooter)
More specifically, Cameron told MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace that “maybe it’s time to start taking names and putting people in jail” over misinformation. His comments followed last weekend’s racially-motivated mass shooting in Buffalo.

The MSNBC host bluntly asked Cameron how Fox News reacted “When something like this happens?”
Cameron replied that he couldn’t “imagine” what was going through top executives’ minds and added that this sort of flare up was “partly why I ended up getting out of there.”
Cameron’s remarks almost perfectly coincided with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s letter to Fox News executives and owner Rupert Murdoch demanding the network cease airing “false white nationalist, far-right conspiracy theories.” (RELATED: New York Governor Orders State Police to Begin Fighting Hate Speech)
On Monday night, his first show since the shooting, Carlson explicitly denounced political violence and racism.

When asked for further comment by The Independent, a Fox News spokesperson referred to Carlson’s earlier remarks.

Cameron should be the 1st one arrested because he just told misinformation about FOX NEWS. Let him put his money where his mouth is.
Has Cameron been asked whether he would accept jail time for any of the misinformation he’s purveyed?
I am a die-hard conservative, Trump supporter and believe strongly in freedom of the press, but Carl Camerson is a moron – who does he think should be the person to judge and then jail people because what they said was misinformation. Misinformation is terrible, but putting people in jail because someone else decides that it is misinformation is just plain dangerous.
Cameron should be the first in jail then.
We are hearing this kind of crap when bad reporters see that they cannot reach people that have the ability to discern for themselves what truth is.
They know that the good reporters are winning with fair and balanced information. But they have lost out because they have turned over to only their liberal ideologies. So now they say “let’s lock up these reporters that are exposing us for the propaganda we spread.”
How did that moron ever get a gig with Fox News? They need better screening processes, and I agree with the others that he should be the first one jailed for spreading misinformation.
