The former president’s team reported that Democrats are facing a significant early voter turnout deficit in critical battleground states, suggesting that the Trump campaign is well-positioned to win tomorrow’s election, while the Democrats are struggling to motivate their base.
Breitbart News reports:
A Trump campaign memo released Monday said Democrats are facing a “massive turnout deficit” in every single battleground state, with former President Donald Trump and Republicans outperforming past elections in absentee ballots and early votes cast. Meanwhile, it said there is an uptick in rural turnout.
The memo written by chief data consultant Tim Saler stated, “With Early Voting closed and Election Day on the horizon, Democrats are facing a massive turnout deficit. In every single battleground state, we see President Trump and Republicans outperforming elections past in absentee ballots and early votes cast. As we dive deeper into the data, Democrats are facing a precipitous decline in urban turnout according to their own “data experts” and we are tracking an uptick in rural turnout.”
He continued, “Democrats are spinning themselves and reporters by claiming that their voters will turn out on Election Day when polls show otherwise and, most importantly, that’s asking Democrat voters to do something they have absolutely no history of doing. If Democrats, who historically vote ahead of Election Day, haven’t been motivated to show up for Kamala yet, why do we expect them to show up tomorrow? President Donald J. Trump is going into Election Day stronger than he has in any previous election and if patriots across the country keep the momentum and turn out as expected on Election Day, we will be swearing in President Trump in January.”
Breitbart News continues:
He cited data from Democrat data expert Tom Vonier of TargetSmart showing urban and female turnout down in battleground states Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
In Georgia and Arizona, which went blue in 2020, the Trump campaign argues that the recent shifts in the state have favored Republicans. The continued challenges that the Democrats face in these states, particularly around issues like immigration and crime, could put them at a disadvantage in 2024.
The Democratic Party is struggling to create or maintain enthusiasm. Since the beginning of her campaign, she’s had low enthusiasm among African American voters, especially in cities like Philadelphia and Detroit, who were critical to the party’s 2020 victory. Many of these voters, the memo argues, are not feeling the same level of excitement or urgency to vote for Democrats, particularly as concerns about the economy and public safety persist.
While nothing is set in stone, the Trump campaign’s memo is a clear indication that the former president’s team is confident in its strategy and its ability to mobilize voters in key battlegrounds. By capitalizing on Democratic disarray, the Trump campaign believes it can surpass its 2016 success by flipping key states and shows high confidence in securing a second term.
As America approaches the final moments of the 2024 election cycle, the Trump campaign’s analysis suggests that the Republican Party has a significant advantage in voter enthusiasm, particularly in battleground states. As the race intensifies, both sides will be focusing on voter mobilization efforts that could determine the outcome of one of the most contentious elections in recent U.S. history.
