Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign directed $500,000 to Rev. Al Sharpton’s nonprofit organization in the weeks leading up to her much-anticipated interview with the MSNBC host and controversial civil rights leader, who has a history of antisemitic statements.
Records show that Harris’ campaign made two $250,000 payments to Sharpton’s National Action Network (NAN)—one on Sept. 5 and another on Oct. 1—according to details first reported by The Washington Free Beacon. The payments preceded a series of friendly, high-profile exchanges between Harris and Sharpton on social media and television, which have since come under scrutiny:
Sharpton did not disclose payments from the Harris campaign during either segment with the candidate. National Action Network did not respond to requests for comment. MSNBC also did not respond to comment requests.
Harris’s donations to National Action Network and similar groups were part of a $1 billion spending spree that has sparked heartache and soul-searching within the Democratic Party, which lost the popular vote to a Republican candidate for the first time since 2004. The campaign, which ended $20 million in debt, leaned heavily on celebrities, influencers, and other high-profile Harris backers to make her case to voters. Her campaign gave $1 million to the production company of Oprah Winfrey, and paid a six-figure sum to create a set for Harris’s interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the Washington Examiner reported.

Team Harris donated to the National Urban League ($2 million), the Black Economic Alliance ($150,000), and Black Church PAC ($150,000). The campaign gave donations to lesser-known groups like the Haitian Ladies Fund ($30,000) and International Free and Accepted Modern Masons ($150,000), a black freemasons organization, according to campaign finance disclosures. The Black Economic Alliance hosted a video call for 5,000 attendees days before the election to urge black men to vote for Harris. Vote to Live Action Fund, which received $275,000 from the Harris campaign, launched a $4 million initiative in October to pressure black men to vote. Harris spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on an initiative to appeal to black church voters. Two of the organizations, Black Church PAC and the Institute of Church Administration and Management ($250,000), are linked to Frederick Haynes, an anti-Israel pastor who has worked with Harris for years on liberal causes.
The campaign gave to Casa in Action ($120,000), the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada ($105,000), and Somos Votantes ($120,000), to mobilize Latino voters in Nevada, Pennsylvania, and other swing states. The lavish giveaways seemingly failed given Harris’s historically poor performance with black and Latino voters.
On Oct. 3, Sharpton posted a video of Harris wishing him a happy birthday, marking a rare public message from the vice president to the controversial figure. Weeks later, on Oct. 20, Sharpton hosted an interview with Harris on his MSNBC program. In the interview, Sharpton praised Harris’ “extraordinary historic campaign,” delivering largely favorable commentary while taking aim at former President Donald Trump, whom he described as “hostile and erratic.” (RELATED: Is This Celebrity Superstar Hiding Something? Following Harris’ loss to President-elect Donald Trump, Sharpton criticized Black male Trump supporters, labeling them “among the most sexist” for their support of the former president.
MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough says that Kamala Harris lost to Donald Trump because blacks and Latinos are sexist and Latinos are racist:

Sharpton has a history of making antisemitic comments, particularly during the early 1990s. In 1991, following the tragic death of a Black child in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, Sharpton led marches where participants chanted antisemitic slogans. He also referred to Jewish individuals as “diamond merchants” and made inflammatory remarks that many believe exacerbated tensions during the Crown Heights riot.
In 1995, Sharpton was involved in protests against a Jewish-owned business in Harlem, during which he referred to the owner as a “white interloper.” The protests escalated, culminating in a horrific fire that resulted in several deaths.
While Sharpton has expressed some regret for his past rhetoric, years of comments and involvement in events associated with antisemitism and violence have tarnished his reputation.

Sharpton is no reverend in any sense of the word. He is a puppet for Satan.
Will these paid people have the loyalty of “bar” friends?
This is the reason I am not now or ever been a democrat. Look at how she handed out OTHER PEOPLES MONEY that is another reason she lost. She and Biden were to free with others money, sad fact of life.
A 100% life time republican all the way back to Ike, while/When stationed at RAFStation Molesworth there in England.
Is it legal for Harris to give campaign money to all of these racially motivated groups? Shouldn’t she be prosecuted for this? It looks a lot like racism to me!
