It is not as crazy as you think. Since 1990, Democrats have only controlled the governor’s office for 10 years. The majority of the time, the Commonwealth has had Republicans in the corner office.
The next election is looking like it is going to swing back to the Republicans as long as they put up a strong candidate.
Governor Maura Healey (D-Massachusetts) is unraveling at the seams. Days after announcing her supplemental budget requesting another $425 million to house illegals in hotels bringing the grand total to over $2 billion, she was exposed by the Boston Herald for ignoring thousands of “Serious Incident” reports being committed by the illegals. She swept under the rug child rape, domestic abuse, brawls and drug dealing. Who could have guessed that crimes were being committed by the illegals?
Two people in Massachusetts thought it was happening. Senators Peter Durant and Kelly Dooner filed numerous public records requests asking about background checks on the illegals. Before the Herald report, there was a rape at one of the shelters/hotels. At that time, Healey said she was doing background checks on everyone. Being from the Ronald Reagan school of thinking, both Durant and Dooner asked for proof. They received nothing from Healey or her administration.
Now that she has been exposed, Healey is claiming someone in her administration dropped the ball. She’s right. It was her! Durant sent numerous requests directly to the governor’s office. Healey sent the same reply over and over again that she was exempt from the public records law. I guess none of these requests prompted her to double check.
When it was reported last September by the Department of Homeland Security that 435,000 criminal illegals were released into our country, Healey did not even contemplate that one of these bad guys would have come to Massachusetts. For some extraordinary reason, the Commonwealth only got the non-criminals. Clearly, the governor is caught in a huge and dangerous lie.
Gov. Healey was counting on the federal government to bail out the state for housing all of these illegals. With Biden out of office, there is no money coming from Washington. That did not stop her from proclaiming that she will protect the illegals from President Trump’s plans to deport them.
So, where does she find the funding? Of course, in Taxachusetts, new taxes are on the horizon. That’s why Healey just gave legislators an 11% raise! She bought them off in order to raid our wallets. Healey has done everything in her power to set the state up for a GOP comeback! See it is not that crazy!
