President Donald J. Trump has signed an executive order to secure U.S. elections and restore public trust. The new order takes significant steps to prevent fraud, increase transparency, and ensure that only eligible citizens participate in the electoral process.
President Trump’s Executive Order focuses on several key areas to safeguard the voting system and enhance voter confidence:
- Stronger Voter Citizenship Verification: The order mandates that voter registration forms, including those used by the Election Assistance Commission (EAC), will now require documentary, government-issued proof of U.S. citizenship. This move aims to ensure that only eligible citizens can register and vote in elections.
- Access to Federal Databases for Voter Verification: Agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Social Security Administration, and the Department of State will be required to provide states with access to federal databases to verify voter eligibility and citizenship. This step is designed to prevent ineligible individuals from casting ballots.
- Prioritizing Prosecution of Non-Citizen Voting: The Attorney General will focus on prosecuting non-citizens who illegally vote, with special attention to utilizing DHS records and collaborating with state attorneys general. The Trump Administration is confident this crackdown will deter foreign interference in U.S. elections.
- Conditions for Federal Election Funds: States will now be required to comply with the new integrity measures before receiving federal election-related funds. This includes using the national mail voter registration form, which will now require proof of citizenship to complete registration.
- Improved Voting Equipment Security: The order directs the update of the Voluntary Voting System Guidelines 2.0 and the strengthening of security standards for voting equipment. The focus is on ensuring the use of voter-verifiable paper ballots and prohibiting the use of ballots where votes are contained in barcodes or QR codes.
- Enforcement of Voter-List Maintenance: The Attorney General will enforce the National Voter Registration Act and the Help America Vote Act, ensuring that states maintain accurate voter lists and remove ineligible individuals from their rolls.
- Protecting Against Late Ballot Counting: Federal law mandates a uniform Election Day deadline for all U.S. federal elections. The Attorney General will take action against states that continue to count ballots received after this deadline, and federal election funding will be conditioned on compliance.
- Preventing Foreign Interference: The order also emphasizes the enforcement of laws prohibiting foreign nationals from contributing to or donating in U.S. elections. Additionally, agencies must report on their compliance with reversing the Biden Administration’s Executive Order 14019, which critics argue politicized federal agencies and turned them into tools for boosting Democratic voter turnout.
In his remarks following the signing of the Executive Order, President Trump reaffirmed his commitment to restoring integrity to the U.S. election system. He stated, “We’re going to fix our elections so that our elections are going to be honorable and honest, and people leave knowing their vote is counted. We are going to have free and fair elections.”
The Executive Order also points out that the United States lags behind other nations in enforcing basic election protections. Countries like India and Brazil require voter identification tied to biometric databases, while the U.S. has relied largely on self-attestation for citizenship. Germany and Canada mandate paper ballots, while the U.S. uses a patchwork of voting methods that sometimes lack proper security measures. Denmark and Sweden limit mail-in voting to those who cannot vote in person, but U.S. elections feature mass mail-in voting, often with votes counted after Election Day.
The order underscores the need to implement stronger protections against fraud, errors, and other forms of malfeasance that could undermine the votes of lawful U.S. citizens.
The Executive Order also criticizes the Biden Administration’s handling of election security, particularly its blocking of efforts to remove non-citizens from voter rolls.

Honest Elections? What a concept!
Good luck enforcing this in California.
This should have happened a long time ago to augment the Constitution on voting requirements.
Excellent!
Now, do the same for the Census.
This has always been the law,but Democrats bastardized the immigration laws in order to “win” elections,in other words Voter Fraud.
NO IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED!
Trump has merely provided a band-aid on a self-inflicted wound – first inflicted when the constitutional framers’ usurped Yahweh’s exclusive election authority (who needs no driver’s license identification) thereby turning election “discretion” over to We the People the majority of whom, according to Christ in Matthew 7:13, are in the broad way leading to *destruction.* Which, in turn, ranks as one of the dumbest things the constitutional framers did, If ever you wondered how America has ended up on the precipice of destruction, not you know – well, at least, part of reason.
Add to that Article 6’s Christian test ban by which mandatory biblical qualifications (such as, Exodus 18:21) were eliminated and you have the perfect recipe disaster.
