Charges have officially been filed…
A woman accused of spitting on Washington’s former top federal prosecutor was arrested Thursday on an assault charge.
Emily Gabriella Sommer, 32, is charged with one federal count of assaulting, resisting or impeding a government official after she allegedly spat on former interim U.S. Attorney Ed Martin when he was still in the post.
The spitting incident occurred on May 8 while the acting prosecutor was conducting an interview with a Newsmax reporter outside his office.
After identifying Martin, Sommer approached him and spat on his left shoulder, according to a deputy U.S. marshal’s affidavit. While walking away, she swore and called him a “disgusting man” before shouting, “My name is Emily Gabriella Sommer, and you are served,” the affidavit said.

Trump pulled his nomination of Martin after lawmakers on both sides of the aisle made it clear they would not support his nomination. (RELATED: Jeanine Pirro Named Interim US Attorney For DC After Ed Martin Nomination Withdrawn)
During Martin’s nomination process, North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis emerged as the key Republican voice opposing his confirmation.
A member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Tillis cited Martin’s defense of Jan. 6 rioters and support for blanket pardons as major concerns. He emphasized that anyone who breached the Capitol on that day should face legal consequences, stating: “I have no tolerance for anybody who entered the building on January the 6th.”
Senator Susan Collins of Maine also voiced concern over Martin’s affiliations — particularly his past support for Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, a January 6 rioter with alleged Nazi sympathies. However, her opposition was less vocal than that of Tillis, whose definitive stance played a more pivotal role in the nomination’s collapse.
Trump later appointed Fox News host and former District Attorney of Westchester County Jeanine Pirro to replace Martin. Tillis praised the choice of Pirro.

People are encouraged to act this way, because it has become the normal violent and less-than-civilized behavior for the leftist element of the population, who see themselves as “progressives”. If this is progressive, we are moving backward to a time when civilized was learning how to hit someone with a club.
Look at all the Trump rallies before Jan 6th – all peaceful. His supporters were regular people – good honest and peaceful middle class Americans. Those supporters were not the rioters on Jan 6th. Full blown conspiracy to follow – Bidden was not lawfully elected president. Jan 6th was Set up by Nancy Pelosi, the mayor of DC and treasonous generals, CIA, FBI and the intelligence agencies (collectively the “Deep State”) to further the impeachment, destruction and take down of Trump. The actual rioters were plants put in place by the deep state.

what makes these people think that this is acceptable behavior? It seems like the entire west coast has lose its collective liberal minds. Who do they think all goverment help comes from, the legal system trying to work out problems, and in all fairness, common since comes from. Spitters such as this, how does the recipiant of such acts know that their spittle does not contain virus or other problems and that they might need to go get detoxed? Personally I feel any person that does this kind of an assault and battery, should suffer some sort of punitive punishment and pay for cleaning the spittle from the garmets that were hit.
