Ballistic Missile Hits Beersheba Medical Center
Israel is promising decisive retaliation after Iran fired a ballistic missile into Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba early Thursday morning, severely damaging the civilian hospital and injuring over 240 people. The strike, which occurred at 4:34 a.m. local time, triggered immediate evacuations due to a suspected chemical leak.
The hospital, a key medical hub in southern Israel, was not known to house military infrastructure. The impact, paired with Iran’s missile accuracy rate of up to 90% within 300 km (according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute), raises serious questions about Tehran’s intent — or miscalculation.
Netanyahu: “Terrorist Tyrants in Tehran”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not hold back, vowing to exact a “full price” on the “terrorist tyrants in Tehran.” Defense Minister Israel Katz went even further, declaring that Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei “can no longer be allowed to exist.”
Their remarks signal a potential shift toward openly targeting Iran’s political leadership — not just its military and nuclear infrastructure.
Israel Hits Back: Airstrikes Across Iran
The Israeli Air Force continues its sweeping retaliatory campaign. Overnight, more than 40 fighter jets launched coordinated strikes on dozens of military targets across Iran. These included the Arak nuclear reactor, struck after this morning’s attack on Beersheba. Additional facilities near Natanz — believed to be linked to Iran’s nuclear weapons program — were also pummeled.
Targets included factories producing ballistic missile components, air-defense systems, and suspected chemical weapons sites. The Military Intelligence Directorate reportedly guided the operation with high-precision data, using over 100 munitions.
The damage inside Iran is still being assessed, but early reports point to hundreds of casualties and serious degradation of strategic military assets.
Tehran’s Defense and Denial
Iran claims the hospital was not the intended target. Officials in Tehran say their missile was aimed at a nearby Israel Defense Force (IDF) command post, and satellite imagery from the Institute for National Security Studies does show adjacent military infrastructure. Still, the direct hit on a civilian hospital has intensified international condemnation and concern.

Although I agree with President Trump that Iran cannot ever have a nuclear weapon, I do not think we should get actively involved in Israel’s war. Israel seems to be doing a good job of bombing them back to the stone age. If we were to give Israel bunker buster bombs, it would be like we dropped them ourselves. Simply take Khamenei out if possible.
