Unlike Jan. 6, this is a real insurrection. I recently wrote about the ongoing far-left “antifa” campaign against U.S. federal authority in states and cities across the nation.
To me, this organized violent effort against federal law enforcement, especially Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents nationwide, is at a point where President Trump can easily and lawfully invoke the Insurrection Act. (RELATED: Pete Hegseth Issues Stark Warning: ‘Prepare For War’)
And in that piece, I argue that he should because we are facing an insurrection. Invoking the Act would give him wide authority to send National Guard or other troops to quell riots and restore lawful federal authority in blue cities and states.
But what about the many Democrat officials and elected leaders who are inciting this insurrection with their extremist rhetoric against ICE and Trump, and even openly supporting these insurrectionists?
Can these leaders be prosecuted for their actions which include blocking federal law enforcement efforts and preventing local police from protecting federal officers from criminal violence?
ICE and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials rightly blame these local, state and even federal leaders for enabling violence and endangering federal officers.
While Trump has yet to call this national, oftentimes violent, criminal conspiracy against federal authority an “insurrection,” he has called Democrats “insurrectionists” in general. Trump has also called for the arrest and imprisonment of several Democrat leaders for their insurrectionist words and deeds. (Left Gaslights MAGA On Free Speech And Censorship)
Most recently, he has focused on the governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, and the mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson.
Trump posted on Truth Social: “Chicago Mayor should be in jail for failing to protect ICE Officers! Governor Pritzker also!”
As the recently launched federal law enforcement “Operation Midway Blitz” has already led to 900 immigration-related arrests in the Chicago area, the mayor and governor are doing all they can to thwart the ongoing federal law enforcement effort.
Mayor Johnson signed an “ICE Free Zone” order banning ICE operations on city property, a meaningless and unenforceable gesture that only gives violent insurrectionists the cover for attacking ICE and other federal agents. The White House called Johnson’s order “a disgusting betrayal” of law enforcement.
Meanwhile, around 200 Texas National Guard members were at the Army Reserve Center 55 miles southwest of Chicago, on Tuesday. And since local and state leaders are actively blocking or obstructing lawful federal law enforcement efforts, and endangering officers, Trump wants to deploy them at ICE facilities and protest sites across the city. Reinforcing his newfound insurrectionist role, Pritzker responded to Trump’s calls for his arrest with overblown rhetoric, falsehoods, and comic exaggeration, and a vow to continue opposing federal authority:
I will not back down. Trump is now calling for the arrest of elected representatives checking his power. What else is left on the path to full-blown authoritarianism? His masked agents already are grabbing people off the street. Separating children from their parents. Creating fear. Taking people for ‘how they look.’ Making people feel they need to carry citizenship papers. Invading our state with military troops. Sending in war helicopters in the middle of the night. Arresting elected officials asking questions. We must all stand up and speak out.
Well, Mr. Pritzker, you can stand up and speak out all you want, this is America, after all. What you can’t do though is actively oppose the lawful authority of the federal government and assist in an insurrection against it.
Democrats gleefully trotted out all manner of insurrection laws and statutes to use against those associated with the Jan. 6, 2021, MAGA riot at the Capitol. Joe Biden then focused the full attention and force of the Justice Department (DOJ) and FBI for years to go after anyone even remotely associated with, or groups involved with, that one afternoon riot. Sadly, for these Democrats, karma is a female dog, and these statutes and the DOJ and FBI can now also be used against them and their fellow state and local insurrectionist confederates, even those in Congress.
The United States criminal insurrection statute (18 U.S.C. § 2383) makes it a crime to incite, assist, or engage in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States. It carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. That applies to local, state and even federal lawmakers and officials.
Trump has the legal tools to end this.
So, let’s see how much longer this leftist Democrat-enabled insurrection continues, and how far President Trump is willing to go to quell it.

Many do not hold American values and all of them want our country to fail. They don’t want us to be a nation with God/Christ at the helm, they want Luciferian policies, confusion, mass deaths of what they call useless eaters, many are soleless clones… This type of person has a disease where they cannot satify their strong desire to consume everything for themselves like gold, money, land, food, etc…they want it all and the rest of us can scramble for the crumbs they drop. We are truly doomed if we don’t put a stop to their insanity! It is about full control and to deprive the people of our great nation of their basic needs as they have been doing for a long time. Keeping us ignorant and teaching lies for truth. They even went as far as to make up lies about the world we live in… why… because they don’t want us to know who we truly are and what we truly can do. Instead, they built a make-believe world full of far-fetched lies they enticed us to desire like living on a planet or traveling through space. They started with a simple lie and built upon that lie until they had created a huge web of lies that most have not been able to see thru and realize it is all lies… We spent our lives dreaming and wishing for things that don’t even exist. How do we help those who still can’t see or hear the truth? I tell you it is impossible, a person has to start asking the hard questions and research with an open mind to find the truth, most are too busy or just push it aside and think those who know the truth are just crazy. It is truly heartbreaking to watch this unfold. My hope is more people will begin to hear & see the truth for if they don’t things are going to get much worse for them.
Add to the insurrection law this from immigration law:
Under U.S. federal law, specifically 8 U.S.C. § 1324, it is a crime to knowingly or recklessly harbor, conceal, or assist undocumented immigrants in evading detection, apprehension, or arrest by federal authorities such as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
This includes providing shelter, transportation, or other forms of aid with the intent to shield undocumented immigrants from immigration enforcement.
The Supreme Court has clarified in United States v. Aguilar (1988) that harboring encompasses actions that substantially facilitate an undocumented immigrant’s ability to remain in the U.S. illegally, including direct aid intended to evade enforcement.
Individuals or organizations violating these laws face serious penalties. A basic harboring offense can result in up to 7 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 for individuals or $500,000 for organizations.
If the offense results in serious bodily injury, the penalty increases to up to 20 years in prison, and if it results in death, the penalty can escalate to life imprisonment or, in extreme cases, the death penalty.
Additionally, assets used in or derived from harboring activities may be subject to forfeiture.
Cities or counties that fund non-governmental organizations (NGOs) engaged in harboring or assisting undocumented immigrants to evade federal authorities could face significant legal and financial consequences, although direct criminal prosecution of local governments is rare due to jurisdictional and immunity issues.
Potential liabilities include federal civil lawsuits, loss of federal funding under 8 U.S.C. § 1373 and related executive orders, and state-level penalties in anti-sanctuary states like Texas, where fines of up to $25,500 per day for violations are possible
So Trump has called them insurrectionists. Why haven’t they been arrested yet. I sure as hell hope it’s not because of the “old boy network”, You take care of me and I will take care of you. Pritzker and Johnson were obviously both dropped on their heads as children, probably more than once. To President Trump; HAVE THEM ARRESTED
