You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that Massachusetts has a crime problem. But that has not stopped Democrat Governor Maura Healey from claiming that the Commonwealth is one of the “safest states in the country.”
The crime problem is so rampant it runs right through her office. Last week, her deputy director for her regional office was arrested for dealing drugs and possessing an unlicensed firearm. He was not dealing from his home. The drugs were being delivered to the governor’s regional office.
How could Healey have known? She is just another victim — NOT!
Healey claimed she did a background check before hiring Lamar Cook for her regional office. The only problem is that when you Google his name, up come stories of him being involved in a shooting. So, there was no background check!
You might think that Lamar just slipped through the cracks. No, it is a Healey rerun.
Three years ago, there was a rape in the Rockland Healey hotel for illegal immigrants. When the news broke, Healey promised to do background checks on all the illegals living in the hotels on our dime. But remember, you can never trust a Democrat.
No background checks were ever completed. None. Zip. Zilch.
The Boston Globe broke the story that there were over 1,000 incidents that happened at the hotels. Of course, Healey changed her story to her team dropped the ball. Was anyone fired? No, because she had no intention of ever doing the checks. She loves inviting in all of the illegals.
With the left-leaning Globe questioning her, Healey started doing CORI checks, which are useless. It is a political smokescreen. CORI reviews only notify authorities of Massachusetts crimes. Hence, any crime committed outside of the Commonwealth is not reported.
Two weeks ago, our state made national news with a video of a police cruiser being burned on the streets of Boston while mobs blocked roadways in other communities. The men arrested were let out of jail for a total of $1,500 worth of bail.
An 18-year-old was arrested for threatening to shoot up a school. He was released on $2500 bail, and then the charges were mysteriously dropped.
A former Fall River mayor was stabbed in broad daylight.
Unfortunately, this is the result you get when you elect officials who turn a blind eye to crime. Houston, we have a problem.
