A 28-year-old man was arrested in Park City, Utah, after allegedly assaulting U.S. Rep. Maxwell Alejandro Frost (D-Fla.) at a private party connected to the Sundance Film Festival, authorities said. The event was hosted by the talent agency CAA at the High West Saloon.
Frost said in a social media post that he was punched in the face after the suspect told him President Donald Trump was going to deport him. Frost is the first Gen Z member of Congress.
Police said the suspect, identified as Christian Joel Young, unlawfully entered the private event after being denied access. Young was taken into custody and booked into the Summit County Jail on charges including aggravated burglary, assaulting an elected official, and simple assault.
Authorities said a judge ordered Young held without bail, citing concerns about community danger and the risk of flight.
Virginia Kruta from The Daily Wire reports:
When he was apprehended, Young reportedly told police that he had no recollection of what had happened and could not recall his own name — despite answering to that name when police addressed him. The 28-year-old was charged with two counts of assault and one count of aggravated burglary.
Critics were not entirely convinced by the story, however, recalling actor Jussie Smollett’s false claims about a racially motivated attack in January 2019. Dozens of replies contained references to Smollett and claims that Frost was making up his story.
Witnesses, according to Salt Lake City’s Fox affiliate, corroborated Frost’s story and recalled Young saying, “we are going to deport you and your kind.” Witnesses also say Young approached a woman with Frost and told her “you are the kind we are going to deport.”
Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) condemned the incident, with Jeffries calling for the assailant to be aggressively prosecuted. Festival organizers said the assault occurred at a non-festival-affiliated event and reiterated their commitment to attendee safety.

George Soros is pouring billions into America to push radical, anti-American ideas and undermine our rule of law. His influence has fueled soft-on-crime prosecutors, drug chaos, and a generation being taught to hate this country. Hungary passed a “Stop Soros” law to fight back. Congress must do the same — NOW. Sign the petition to protect America before it’s too late.

Of course Jeffries wants the suspect held accountable. It was a Democrat he is accused of assaulting. If it had been a Republican…. meh. More double standards. Oh, yeah, by the way, Hakim, should the Clintons honor their subpoena?
The leftist judges rule from the bench, and this is what the democrats appointed them for…. to protect their own, and to protect their power and control over us.
If it had been a Republican Official the culprit would have been freed within an hour on his own recognizance.
Clearly a lefty attempting a personal false-flag. Real MAGA avoid gatherings like SFF.
Sure! Want prosecution done to the full extent of the law. Sounds like it depends on the party affiliation, doesn’t it?
