PAUL’S DEFENSE BRIEF (PDB): What would it take to end the war, and where does Israel fit in? The U.S. and Iran have agreed to terms to end their war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, although the pact may hinge on an end to hostilities in Lebanon and defers talks on Tehran’s nuclear program.

What to know about the deal to end the Iran war. Iran and the U.S. are trumpeting their tentative agreement aimed at ending their war as a victory. But so far, there is no word on what’s actually in it.

U.S. had no choice but diplomacy yet again. Declaring “deal is all signed” with Iran, as President Trump did, is like shopping for a wedding dress after good first date: It’s just too soon.
