A military review that barely got off the ground is already over.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Tuesday shut down an investigation into an Army helicopter crew that flew two Apache gunships near Kid Rock’s Nashville estate over the weekend — and lifted their suspension in the same breath.
“No punishment. No investigation,” Hegseth posted on X. “Carry on, patriots.”
Thank you @KidRock.@USArmy pilots suspension LIFTED.

No punishment. No investigation.
Carry on, patriots. 🇺🇸 https://t.co/Zqhv1Zx1iG
Hours earlier, the Army had struck a very different tone.
Officials said the Fort Campbell-based crew had been grounded while the service examined whether the flyover violated FAA rules, safety protocols, or approval procedures — standard language when something might have crossed a line.
That review is now moot.
The helicopters, part of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, flew near Kid Rock’s property — a residence he has dubbed “The Southern White House.”
The singer seemed pleased.
Rock posted a video of the encounter on the X with the caption, “This is a level of respect that s**t for brains Governor of California will never know. God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”
