Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, now the Republican nominee for United States Senate, is fighting back after the FBI and Biden administration tried to illegally seize private data on the state’s gun owners.
Schmitt issued a letter last month to FBI Director Christopher Wray after the agency announced it would travel to the state’s sheriff departments in August and conduct “audits” that include seizing lists of citizens with concealed carry permits.
Missouri law makes it expressly illegal to share such data with any government agency.
“It has come to my attention that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has informed several Missouri county sheriffs that they will be showing up in August to ‘audit’ CCW permit holder records,” Schmitt writes.
“The FBI states that, ‘The audit includes an onsite review of your Concealed Carry Weapons Permits…’ Let me be perfectly clear. Allowing federal agents from the FBI to have access to records of Missourians who have a permit to carry a concealed weapon violates Missouri law and infringes on our Second Amendment rights,” said Schmitt.
“The FBI has absolutely no business poking around in the private information of those who have obtained a concealed carry permit in Missouri,” said Schmitt.
“The Second Amendment rights of Missourians will absolutely not be infringed on my watch. I will use the full power of my Office to stop the FBI, which has become relentlessly politicized and has virtually no credibility, from illegally prying around in the personal information of Missouri gun owners,” said Schmitt.
“Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s defense of the privacy and individual right to keep and bear arms of the people of the Show Me state is a model for how the top law enforcement officer of a state should respond to unlawful actions by federal law enforcement,” says Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning.
Manning further states:
“AG Schmitt excoriated the FBI for abuses of power which have cost them the trust of the people citing their targeting of parents of school children who showed up to express concerns to their local school boards, the on-going six-year-long witch-hunt against President Trump and the ‘sitting on evidence of criminal activity on Hunter Biden’s laptop’ as proof of the untrustworthiness of the once respected Agency.’
“Schmitt reminded Wray of the recent U.S. Supreme Court 6-3 decision in the New York Rifle and Pistol Association case which strongly affirmed the individual right to BEAR arms stating that it shall not be infringed. In telling the FBI that the state of Missouri would not stand for the ‘targeting’ of Missouri gun owners, Schmitt drew a line in the sand that every other state Attorney General should follow.
“I often criticize politicians of both political parties for failing to have the courage to stand up in the fight to maintain and restore individual liberty in America. Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt is a shining example of what liberty lovers who hold positions of power should do to stand up against federal abuses of power.”

Make it like Indiana. If you’ve got a license it’s automatically a concealed carry permit.
Or just make it constitutional carry, just like 26 states have done.

Missouri is a “Right to Carry” state, and you don’t need a license or permit to carry concealed.
No license no registration not to be infringed on no state or government has the right to know what you have it is a Constitutional right so no license no registration
