President Joe Biden is once again saying one thing but doing another when it comes to the nation’s southern border. The president has quietly returned to a Trump administration-era policy of sending National Guard troops to the southern border, despite repeated assurances by key members of the Biden administration that our current leaders presently maintain “full operational control” of the region.

Nearly two dozen states are sending National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to help federal immigration officials grapple with an unprecedented surge of undocumented migrants.
The deployments, which were requested by the U.S. Department of Defense, call for up to 2,500 National Guard members from Republican-led states like Kentucky, South Carolina and Arkansas, as well as Democratic-led states such as Rhode Island and Illinois.
Texas Governor Gregg Abbott — who has repeatedly come under fire over the past year for decisive actions he has taken to stem the flow of illegal immigrants into his state — called the move by Biden “hypocritical.”
Abbott told The Center Square the following yesterday:
“When you see the chaos and devastation caused by the Biden administration policies on the border, it’s shocking that’s he’s not been down there to see what he caused,” the border governor said …
“It is hypocritical on the one hand for the president and his staff to criticize me for having to deploy the National Guard to respond to his open border policies, now for them only to begin to deploy [other states’] National Guards is deeply hypocritical,” he said.
It’s also hypocritical, the Texas governor continued, for other Democratic leaders “to criticize me for helping out our local communities by busing out migrants to sanctuary cities like Washington, D.C., New York City, and Chicago, and then Biden and his administration moving migrants themselves in the middle of the night. What we are doing is really nothing different than what the Biden administration is doing.”
Homeland Security experts and advocates both in D.C. and from border states have been calling on President Biden to take action to secure the southern border for months.
Congressman Chip Roy, who represents Texas’ 21st district is one member who hasn’t shied away from calling out the Biden administration’s border blunders.
Earlier this summer, Roy spoke at the America First Policy Institute’s America First Agenda Summit, where he called out Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for lying under oath about his department having “full operational control” of the southern border.
Between July and September, things didn’t seem to have changed much. At a press conference hosted by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) last month, Roy said that the crisis at the southern border is not “a red or blue problem, but a human problem” between deaths at the border and deaths caused by poor border security – ranging from human trafficking to drug trafficking.
Biden’s latest actions seem to echo a sentiment similar to the one shared by Roy – as well as dozens of law enforcement officials who have attended recent events put on by FAIR in D.C. which have been open to members of the press.
At one such event – “Feet to Fire” which was hosted by FAIR last month – Pinal County, AZ Sheriff Mark Lamb told American Liberty News that the easiest thing the Biden Administration can first do is “go back to the Trump-era policies, as we know those worked.” He said that the Biden administration should should “start there, and then build from there.”

They will be facing invaders, they should be fully armed and told to turn the invasion back by any means necessary
Yes they should be fully armed, but should they actually shoot the criminal invaders ( yes, even if the left thinks otherwise, those crossing our borders illegally are in fact criminals), it will be the poor soldier that will be charged with a crime. They need to do the same thing at the border in Arizona and New Mexico since the illegals come across there also. Forget California, let the illegals do as they please there.

Hah. So many leftists criticized Trump’s border policies for being rooted in “racism.” But now that the left is seeing firsthand exactly the same problems with open borders (human and drug trafficking, terrorists and criminals posing as illegal immigrants, etc.) that conservatives have been concerned about, Biden quietly reinstates Trump era policies.
Wouldn’t it be nice if leftists would examine issues objectively, rather than shoehorning them to fit leftist ideology? Objectively considering problems is the only way to first understand them and then to come up with workable solutions.

Easy to do since the whole demonrat party is nothing but hypocrites who swear to uphold our constitution and laws then break every one of them.
He has no intention of doing anything about the border. He stated this movement so he could find a way to get illegals to vote for the Democrats. They can say it’s a lie, but they are the liars. It has been proven over and over they lie about everything. Even if they have to put voting machines in these camps, he has going for them, you can bet they will be voting. It is illegal and the things he is doing by bringing these people here is illegal as well as having them vote. It is against the law of the United States of America. He is a trader.
