Republican Congressman Bob Good of Virginia’s 5th District is doubling down on his opposition to electing House Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy as speaker for the next Congress.
During a segment of the John Fredricks show, which aired on November 16th, Good told the host that the dozen or so no votes to McCarthy’s bid for speaker “will do what needs to be done on the House floor to ensure that we get an improvement in the speaker situation.”

The number of Republican members who are pledging to oppose McCarthy becoming speaker appears to be growing.
The Daily Caller reported last week that there were “at least 7 members” in the Republican caucus who were questioning McCarthy’s abilities to lead the caucus.
I am told by a source in the room that there are at least 7 members with questions for McCarthy. Including, Chip Roy, Bob Good and Matt Gaetz.

Good said in a Fox News interview earlier this month that McCarthy had the “exclusive opportunity to earn 218 votes for Speaker” which he “doesn’t have.”

Hooray Yes
Sadly, the odds of McCarthy turning into another Paul Ryan are very high.
He is Paul Ryan’s hand-picked successor. All you have to do is look back to the 2018 election w/Ryan turning over the reins to Kevin. We had seats where Republican House members retired & there was no Republican candidate running against a Democrat for the seat. 2020, we regained some seats but not enough to get the majority back.
So here we are again in 2022, not getting the red wave, & barely enough to win the majority in the House.
All the impeachment bs was a direct result of losing more than enough seats in 2018 to give the majority back to Democrats & Pelosi.
This is McCarthy’s, McConnell’s & Ronna McDaniel’s doing. These 3 & their groomed RINO successors gotta go.
In my opinion, once McCarthy said that Trump should resign was the mail in his coffin. He’s either with us or against us. He showed his true colors that day. He should have learned from Liz Chaney what happens when you don’t back who WE Republicans voted for in 2020.
The GOP needs to become an a true conservative party and get rid of the Liberal
Leftwing socialist Marxists RINOs. Since the Constitution does not require the Speaker to be a Member of the House Donald Trump would be a great one.
