UPDATE:
One of the victims in Monday’s drive-by shooting at East High School in Des Moines, Iowa has died. Jose Lopez, 15, died following the gang-related shooting on school grounds. The two female victims remain hospitalized.
Four of the six older suspects, Henry Valladares-Amaya, Octavio Lopez, Manuel Buezo and Romeo Perdomo, have their first court date set for Friday, March 18.
The two younger suspects, aged 14 and 15, are being tried, at this point, as juveniles.
All six suspects face murder and attempted murder charges.

A shooting today at East High School in Des Moines, Iowa has left three students in critical condition.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene following reports of shots fired.
Police officers arriving reported “multiple shooting victims outside of the school.”
The shooting occurred outside of the main building but on school grounds.
Paramedics rushed the three students, two boys and one girl, to area hospitals where they continue to fight for their lives.
Des Moines Police Department (DMPD) Sgt. Paul Parizek told journalists at the scene that multiple suspects are now in police custody.
CNN adds:
The school is currently on lockdown, according to a statement on Twitter from Des Moines Public Schools.
“There are reports of a shooting near East High School. Police are actively investigating. The district is working with staff and families. We will have more information as it becomes available. East High School is currently locked down. Please do not go to the school. More information will be available soon,” the school district tweeted.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) of Kansas City is on scene providing assistance in the investigation, the agency tweeted.
