John F. Kennedy’s only grandson has gone viral for an especially peculiar reason.
Jack Schlossberg, who once admitted to eating out six times a week as a Harvard law student, posted a July Fourth rant insulting restaurant culture and, according to some commenters, fat-shaming Americans who enjoy eating regular food. Schlossberg, 30, is the son of U.S. Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, the only surviving child of former President John F. Kennedy and former First Lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis. After obtaining degrees from Yale and Harvard, the Kennedy scion used his name to get a leg-up on his legal career.
Unfortunately, he still hasn’t mastered relating to regular people.
The New York Post reports:
Some of Schlossberg’s seemingly semi-serious complaints about restaurants are their lack of options and the length of time it takes to consume a meal.
“We have to wait there to eat something that we don’t get to choose, really, what it is,” Schlossberg said to the giggling camera operator.
“We only get a few choices, and you don’t know what any of them are gonna taste like or what’s good … and we’re gonna sit there and wait for some guy to ask us a question. And we’re gonna have to talk to some guy about what we wanna eat.”
He continued: “You spend hours and hours eating in restaurants when you could spend a minute-and-a-half eating something good for you.”
Another downside, according to Schlossberg? Having to read the menu.
“You have to read to get your food? Why? You don’t actually need to do that, and that’s why I’m never, ever going to a restaurant again.”
