Are Abortion Laws Equal to Slavery? This Professor Says Yes

A pro-abortion professor at the University of California, Irvine compared a new anti-abortion law to the Fugitive Slave Act of 1793.

Michele Goodwin, an expert in constitutional law and reproductive rights at UCI School of Law says,

When you look at the Texas law, it has all of the features and ingredients of the Fugitive Slave laws. To understand the pernicious underbelly of the Texas law means situating it alongside other successful laws that sought to shackle individuals and keep them from gaining their fundamental human rights.

The act granted slave owners the right to recover slaves who fled to other states, regardless of the slave laws there.

Actually, the bill uses the same method to do the opposite of what the Fugitive Slave Act did. The Missouri law protects the inalienable right to life, liberty, and happiness for every pre-born person, regardless of developmental stage.

Pro-abortion advocates suggest anti-abortion policies are regressive when in reality they are restorative.

President of the American Life League, Judie Brown, said

To move forward with blood on our hands should not be a goal for anyone in our nation, especially not our president, and yet as we have seen, killing has become so commonplace that few barely blink an eye. While some call it a woman’s right, we must never stop calling it what it really is—decriminalized killing.

Abortion is a stain on our nation’s history, and the 65 million lives lost to the barbaric practice are a testament. Americans must stand up to the abortion industry and vote against the politicians who are wrapped around its finger.

Brown continued,

Lest we forget, humankind cannot survive in a morality-free environment.
