Two days after accusing Fox News of wanting a top-rated host dead, Marjorie Taylor Greene appeared on the network on Sunday.
During her most recent appearance on Steve Bannon's “War Room” podcast, the Georgia Republican criticized Fox News, claiming that the network ignored her motion to oust Speaker Mike Johnson. Both Greene and Bannon agreed that Fox should have interrupted their regularly scheduled programming (“The Five”) with live coverage of the lopsided floor vote.
Greene proceeded to hammer Fox for terminating Tucker Carlson's contract.
“So you got to remember Fox News that literally fired Tucker Carlson, the number one cable TV news host in the nation. Tucker, who was basically the voice of everyone, that's the Fox News that refused to cover me calling the motion to vacate. “The Five” never switched gears, they never changed, never went to anything different. Fox News wants to control what Republican voters think and the control and the information that they give you is the establishment Republican Party view,” Greene claimed.
In reality, “The Five” interrupted twice to cover the events on the House floor.
“They want to make viewers, their viewers think that we have to fight for Ukraine, that we have to stop Putin because he's gonna steamroll across Europe just like Hitler did even though there's no evidence of showing that. The same Fox News refuses to say, hey, let's call for peace. Peace for these people in Ukraine instead of wiping out an entire generation of Ukrainians. Think about that.”
Greene continued her rant, exposing her utter disdain for the conservative news network.
“Fox News wants to make sure, make sure that you guys don't have your own opinion, that you only have the opinion that Fox News tells you to have, and that's why Fox News attacks Steve Bannon,” she added. “That's why Fox News attacks Charlie Kirk, and that's why Fox News would love to murder Tucker Carlson, and that's the reality. And that's why Fox News is losing viewers because I think you guys are smart. The American people are too smart and you're tired of being fed outrage TV – outrage TV and watching and voting and donating to Republicans that don't do a damn thing about it.”
Despite the wild conspiracy theories, Greene returned to Fox less than 48 hours later, where she was interviewed by Maria Bartiromo. The latter asked if it was a good time to pick a fight with the GOP leadership.

Bartiromo asked, “You're being criticized, Congresswoman, because of the timing. We're six months away from an election, and you are, quote, ‘creating disruption.' What do you want to say to those people who are criticizing you for these efforts?'
Greene said she offered to drop her efforts to oust Johnson if he would simply defund Jack Smith and his efforts to prosecute former President Donald Trump.
“Final question, and I go back to what I asked earlier about the timing — you say you're supporting President Trump, but is now the time for this disruption, six months before the election, to fight to get a new speaker in place? You know why the Democrats always roll over the Republicans, because they all stick together. They all vote the same way. You don't.”
Greene said, “Well, actually, this time the Democrats and the Republicans stuck together and exposed the ‘uniparty' like it's never been seen before. You know, and I just spoke with President Trump yesterday about this, and while he says now is not the time, I'm going to be listening to him. But he also said, and he said it in his statement publicly, that it may happen, that the time may come. So, even though if I wanted to do it again this week, the Democrats have already stepped in and saved Johnson.”
