“The System” will never protect you!
“‘Cogito, ergo armatum sum:’ I think, therefore I am armed.”
On Monday, a man with a lengthy, weary history of violent crime, drug use, and DUI offences, who should have been in prison, wantonly murdered three innocent, unarmed people in the parking lot of an Austin, TX Target Store.
Murder victims included a Target employee, a four-year-old girl, and the girl’s grandfather.
This VCA then attacked the grandmother and stole their vehicle.
Target’s official “policy” with regard to armed customers is:
“Our position with regard to firearms on our properties:
While we continue to follow local laws regarding carry policies, we also respectfully request that guests not bring firearms to Target, even in communities where it’s permitted.
Your cooperation helps us fulfill our goal to create an atmosphere of family-friendly shopping that’s safe and inviting for our guests and team members”
That self-serving, pseudo-sanctimonious “policy” apparently didn’t make it very “safe” for these particular murder victims. Did it?
Apparently, the murderer in this case never got that memo!
Notice also there is nothing in there about Target itself so much as raising a finger to protect anyone.
The “System,” public and private, mostly controlled by leftists, has obviously made the deliberate decision to not protect anyone (except themselves) from violent criminals.
Yet on the other side of the coin, when you unilaterally decide to take reasonable steps in an effort to prevent yourself and family from being kidnaped, raped, maimed, murdered, be fully prepared for the ocean of non-support you’ll predictably experience from the media and from the same “System” (the one that advocates for violent criminals and adamantly refuses to protect the rest of us)
Thus, in the aftermath of an armed citizen successfully employing deadly force in defending himself and family, you’ll immediately hear from the woke media:
“He was too fast,
Too accurate,
Too competent,
Too prepared,
Too well-trained,
His pistol was equipped with an optic,
He even carried (Heaven-forbid) a spare magazine.
He over-reacted (invariably),
Why, it wasn’t even a ‘fair fight’ (against this murderous VCA)!”
Woke “prosecutors,” elected solely due to generous infusions of Marxist dark-money, will immediately join-in, long before even examining the facts.
You might find yourself being prosecuted for purely political reasons, where the facts of the case are irrelevant, because it’s an election year (Zimmerman)
You might find yourself vilified for taking perfectly reasonable actions to prevent yourself from being murdered by aggressive and armed criminals (Rittenhouse)
You might find yourself facing felony charges simply because the local prosecutor “just doesn’t like guns” (Dan Perry)
Conclusion: There’s a real shortage of “fairness” these days, so no unilateral decision you make with regard to your continued good health is going to be without risk, as we see.
My advice: Make decisions and move on. Don’t look back. Merely “deciding not to decide” is almost always contrary to your best interests.
