An interesting twist…
President Joe Biden’s only official Democrat primary challenger said he would accept an invitation to serve in either a Democrat or Republican administration.
Phillips (D-Minn.) spoke to Fox News Digital on the sidelines of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
When asked if he had aspirations to run for president again in the future, Phillips said he just aspires “to help this country in some way, shape or form.”
“This was not about running for president. This was about showing people that it is never too late, and you should sit up and stand up and do something when you feel that something is wrong. And I did that,” he said.
“If there is a way to serve my country in a Democratic administration — in a Republican administration — my goodness, we should all stand up and accept that invitation whenever it is issued,” he told Fox News Digital. “So, you never know.”
“Americans remember how they feel. They remember how they feel. They want to feel excited, safe, joyful, optimistic and a lot of that results from policy,” he said.
“As it relates to policy, yeah, we have a border crisis. I’ve seen it twice with my own eyes. We also have to be a welcoming country, as Ronald Reagan would say,” Phillips said. “We have to be a country that has an economy that works for people. Sixty percent of people are living paycheck to paycheck. It doesn’t matter what party you are — we failed a lot of people. Our healthcare system is a mess. This is America.”
The three-term congressman launched an uphill challenge against Biden in the Democrat primary before ultimately suspending his campaign in March.

For the love of G-d, DO NOT TRUST Democrat Congressman Dean Phillips!!!! Yeah, He wants to be kinder, gentler to scum bags that entered this country illegally!!! We have to be a welcoming country???? We don’t need to welcome anyone entering this country for the next 100 years, due to him and his Democrap party.!! He mentioned Ronald Regan, aka Ronaldus Magnus, who had promises from the “CDP” (Communist Democrat Party) in regards to immigration and as it turned out, was totally blind sighted by “Tip” O’Neil and the “Democraps” in regards to the entire immigration issue. Like the Biden and “CDP” they opened the border and then had thousands of illegals, loaded onto planes and had them flown all over the country in the dead of night, remember, they got the “thumbs-up” from Phillips, like every good little member of the “CDP”!!! Did anyone bother to keep track of all of those, which not a one of them was medically examined nor were they properly vetted!! Just a reminder, actually, very few of the illegals that stormed into this country had any medical examinations or had their backgrounds thoroughly investigated/vetted.
