House Panel Threatens To Subpoena Former New York Gov. Cuomo

-

Disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) may finally have to answer for his horrific COVID-19 orders.

members are threatening to subpoena the former Governor over his alleged failure to respond to the committee's investigation into Cuomo's nursing home policies.

Committee chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) and Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y.) said Cuomo had failed to produce any documents or communications related to his state's COVID-19 nursing home policies. The Hill reports Cuomo has until Oct. 17 to cooperate.

“To date, we have not received a single document from you. The Select Subcommittee is comprised of physicians from both sides of the aisle and members who take our responsibilities seriously,” Wenstrup wrote in a letter dated Tuesday.

The House panel is investigating COVID-19 nursing home policy decisions made by Cuomo as well as the Democrat leaders of and Pennsylvania.

Wenstrup and Malliotakis said the panel requested a transcribed interview with Cuomo and called for any documents and communications related to the state's pandemic-era nursing home policy decisions.

The panel is specifically investigating Cuomo's “must admit” order, which said nursing homes could not turn away patients who tested positive for COVID-19, as long as they were medically stable.

In 2021, Attorney General Letitia James's (D) office issued a report that found the state department undercounted COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes by as much as 50 percent.

A spokesman for Cuomo slammed the lawmakers on Wednesday and said the former governor doesn't have the information they are asking about.

“This letter is a farce,” said Rich Azzopardi. “The data they seek — which has already been reviewed twice by the DOJ, as well as the State Assembly and the AG …. is with the state. Once again, it's unfortunate that some DC politicians are seeking to transparently weaponize people's pain to advance a political agenda.”

  1. Well come to Michigan where the governor killed thousands of seniors with her orders about putting virus people into nursing homes. Biden said he would not arrested these Blue states governors for killing seniors. Biden needs arrested for not charging these governors with murder. Michigan people are stupid because what she did to nursing home seniors and locking down everything she could to destroy Michigan and its people lives these idiots voted her back in, or was it rigged?

  2. America will never be truly great again until politicians are actually PUNISHED for the crimes they commit.

And I’m talkin’ actual, REAL crimes. NOT delusional, made-up, or fabricated crimes.

  3. Finally we are seeing some action that should have been completed already. The families of the people that died because of their actions have waited far too long to see justice. The punishment for this can not be stiff enough.

  4. He needs charged! Took his mother out of the nursing home then filled it with covid patients! Others didn’t even know till it was too late
