Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg Sues Jim Jordan

-

Manhattan District Attorney has filed a lawsuit against one of the most powerful Republicans on Capitol Hill: Ohio Congressman .

According to court documents, Bragg filed the suit “in response to an unprecedently brazen and unconstitutional attack by members of on an ongoing State criminal prosecution and investigation of former President Donald J. Trump.”

The suit accuses Jordan and the , which he chairs, of running a blatant campaign to “intimidate and attack” Bragg.

NBC News reports:

Calling it an “unprecedently brazen and unconstitutional attack” of an ongoing investigation, Bragg in the suit filed Tuesday said allowing Jordan's demands, including subpoenaing former assistant DA employee , would cause “imminent irreparable harm if the secret and privileged material is compelled to be disclosed.”

Bragg's suit asks the court to block a subpoena issued by Jordan to Pomerantz. Jordan, R-Ohio, wants Pomerantz to sit for a deposition as part of the Judiciary panel's investigation into the indictment of Trump. The former president pleaded not guilty last week to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to his alleged role in hush money payments toward the end of his 2016 presidential campaign.

“Chairman Jordan's subpoena is an unconstitutional attempt to undermine an ongoing New York felony criminal prosecution and investigation,” Bragg said in a statement Tuesday. “As our complaint details, this is an unprecedented, illegitimate interference by Congress that lacks any legal merit and defies basic principles of federalism.”

  1. Cut off his federal money, and send many more subpoenas. Let him know he is not even a state AG.

  2. Typical of lib trash Bragg tries a coverup intimidation. In truth he’s the one who should be in jail. Cut off ALL federal monies to the state until they grow up and elect adults.

  3. alvin “FAT BAG” bragg is a stain upon humanity that needs obliteration. crats love this piece of alimentary waste product. Is there any question that “FATBAG” is anything other than evil? No, of course, there is not! The big crapple needs an exorcism to rid itself of evil influences but instead, it will celebrate its perfidy, its corruption. The next step is eternal damnation.

  4. So Bidens mouthpiece wants to cross swords with Jim Jordan. Bragg has got nothing but illegal federal money funded to him. The Feds have nothing to do with this. Its a personal matter a lot of people experience. Bragg needs to resign.

  5. Bragg is the last person to claim unconstitutional anything considering he has violated Trumps sixth amendment rights to know the full charges that support escalating misdemeanors to felony’s well outside the statute of limitations.

  6. Jordan needs to have this criminal arrested and sue him out of every dime he has, along with biden his administration
