Randy Fine Threatens to Stall House Agenda Unless Trump Fires Adviser

Rep. Randy Fine (R-Fla.) is reportedly threatening to derail the House Republican agenda unless President Donald Trump fires longtime political adviser Alex Bruesewitz, escalating a weeks-long public feud that has spilled into Congress.

According to a report from NOTUS, Fine has told White House officials he intends to vote against every House rule brought to the floor until Bruesewitz is removed from Trump’s inner circle. Although Bruesewitz holds no official role in the administration, he remains one of the president’s closest outside advisers and is widely viewed as an influential voice within Trump’s political operation.

A source close to the White House confirmed Fine’s comments to the Daily Caller.

Fine Takes Stand Against House Rules

Fine took his first step toward carrying out the threat Tuesday, becoming the only Republican to vote against the procedural rule governing debate on several pieces of legislation, including the GOP-backed SAVE America Act, an election integrity bill.

House rules are procedural measures that determine how legislation is considered on the floor. While they often receive little public attention, defeating a rule can prevent bills from advancing altogether. With Republicans holding only a narrow House majority, even a single GOP defection can complicate Speaker Mike Johnson’s efforts to move legislation.

According to the report, Fine has privately urged fellow Republicans for weeks to encourage Trump to sever ties with Bruesewitz before escalating his campaign by threatening to oppose future rules.

White House Stands Firm

The White House appeared unmoved by Fine’s ultimatum.

Responding to the report, a source close to the administration told the Daily Caller, “Good luck telling the president who he can and can’t talk to.”

Bruesewitz has remained a visible presence around Trump in recent weeks, posting photos from the Oval Office alongside the president and rapper Nicki Minaj.

Feud Began After Tucker Carlson Interview

The conflict traces back to Bruesewitz’s appearance on Tucker Carlson’s podcast, where Carlson referenced Trump’s endorsement of Fine before describing the Florida congressman as “that creepy fat guy from Florida who endorsed genocide.”

When Carlson compared Fine’s views to those of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Bruesewitz responded by distancing himself from Fine rather than defending him.

“I don’t say that Randy Fine’s opinions are good,” Bruesewitz said. “I think Ted Cruz’s personality is just worse.”

Bruesewitz also criticized Fine’s social media activity, saying the congressman had posted “really ugly things” and adding that Fine’s views “do not represent the views of the Trump administration or my views.”

Public War of Words

Fine responded with a series of attacks on Bruesewitz, Carlson and conservative commentator Candace Owens.

“There is a mind virus that is trying to infect the Republican Party,” Fine wrote on X. “Tucker, Alex Bruesewitz, and Candace Owens fundamentally hate the American origin story. They seek to pit Jews and Christians against each other and fetishize Islam to distract from its stated goal to destroy the West.”

The exchange has highlighted growing divisions within segments of the conservative movement over foreign policy, Israel and the future direction of the Republican Party.

Bruesewitz Remains Key Trump Adviser

Despite the dispute, Bruesewitz continues to be regarded as one of Trump’s most trusted outside political advisers.

He played a major role in organizing Trump’s appearances on popular podcasts during the 2024 presidential campaign, an outreach strategy widely credited with helping the president connect with younger male voters and expanding his online reach.

There has been no indication from the White House that Trump intends to distance himself from Bruesewitz.
