According to The Hill, the deal was brokered by a bipartisan group of senators led by Angus King (I-Maine), Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), and Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.), working with Republican Appropriations Chair Susan Collins (R-Maine) and her GOP colleagues.
“There will be the votes to pass the deal through the Senate,” King told reporters after the meeting. “That’s certainly what it looks like.”
Other senators took to social media to announce what is widely expected to mark the end of a nearly six-week impasse.

EVERY0NE, AN IMPORTANT TAKE AWAY!!!!! IT IS THE DEMOCRATS WHO ARE RESPONSINLE FOR THE SHUTDOWN!!! WHAT GUIDED THEM IS HOLDING ONTO POWER and CHOSING “ILLEGALS” OVER THE WELFARE OF OUR OWN CITIZENS!!!!!!
The shutdown was intended to demonize the Republican party through the special elections. Those over, the shutdown will now end with meaningless concessions made.
