Vice President J. D. Vance said Friday that the White House is examining potential legal avenues related to allegations of immigration fraud involving Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar.

Speaking on The Benny Johnson Show, Vance stated that administration officials are discussing how to approach the matter, including what legal mechanisms might be available and whether an investigation could move forward. He also said he had discussed the issue with White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

Allegations concerning Omar’s past personal relationships have circulated for years, including claims that she married her brother in 2009 in order to help him obtain legal status in the United States. Omar has consistently denied the alleged wrongdoing. No criminal charges related to these allegations have been filed against her.

According to publicly reported timelines, Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009 and later separated from him. Their divorce was finalized in 2017. She has also had a long-term relationship with Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi, with whom she shares children, and later remarried him before divorcing again.

Vance’s comments come as he leads a newly formed federal task force focused on fraud in public assistance programs. The initiative is expected to examine misuse of government funds, with particular attention to cases in Minnesota.

Authorities have charged dozens of individuals in connection with a large-scale fraud scheme involving pandemic-era child nutrition programs, including the organization Feeding Our Future. Prosecutors allege that hundreds of millions of dollars intended for low-income children were improperly obtained. The case has received national attention and intensified scrutiny of oversight mechanisms for federal and state aid programs.

Omar has been a vocal critic of federal immigration enforcement actions carried out by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), particularly those affecting Somali communities in Minnesota.

The administration’s review of the allegations against Omar has not yet resulted in any formal legal action. It remains unclear what steps federal authorities may ultimately take.

    An American

The morality of so many of these people are in such great question.
This is SUPPOSED to be a moral country! That’s what our Constitution is dependent on … morality and decency! Without it we are a LOST people!
No matter what political affiliation someone has, if their life is not lived in a moral way, they should be either thrown out of the country ( those who are illegals in this country ), or thrown in jail for any legal infractions that they commit ( if they are legally here ).
Follow the law ( as it is in that very Constitution ) or follow the road to another country. We don’t need scumbags here!
