One must realized that one of the tactics that China employees is diversion and false information. When Biden was in office they pretty much got their way and was handed stuff on a silver platter. Now with Trump in office that stopped, they are taking notice and reevaluating their stance toward pushing not only the South China Sea claims around but Nationalist China as well. They know they will lose the war if they try to take either by force becasue they will meet with American MIlitary might immediately.
