PAUL’S DEFENSE BRIEF (PDB) – “America is going down.” The damage caused by Trump to the US reputation is creating opportunities for China, particularly with regards to Taiwan, according to a retired Chinese senior colonel.

China is preparing countermeasures against Trump import tariffs, with US agricultural exports likely to be targeted.

New products show China’s quest to automate battle. Drones used during a recent military exercise were dispatched by the Intelligent Precision Strike System, a new product that used the UAVs’ real-time data to model the battlefield, track targets, devise strike plans, distribute firing information, and execute follow-up strikes.

Air Force commanders warn current and former service members to be on alert for efforts by private aviation companies with Chinese military ties to recruit them with lucrative job offers.

Not the President’s Daily Brief, but almost as good – PAUL’S DEFENSE BRIEFING – the PDB:

NATIONAL SECURITY

Offensive cyber operations in warfare have long had the potential to be revolutionary but that promise has remained distant, being “much harder to use against targets of strategic significance or to achieve outcomes with decisive impacts, either on the battlefield or during crises short of war.”

HOMELAND SECURITY

The Pentagon is ordering thousands of additional soldiers to the US-Mexico border, including a Stryker Brigade Combat Team and helicopter support units.

Mexican drug lord appears before US judge, pleads not guilty to murder, kidnapping charges in DEA agent’s 1985 killing.

PENTAGON WOKE WATCH

The Army does a wide-ranging scrub of the massive amount of digital content the service has created online over the years — a purge that is leading to the removal of images and videos featuring women and minority soldiers.

POLITICS

Defense Department leaders reversed course this week and ordered all employees to respond to Elon Musk’s controversial “what did you do last week?” email by the middle of next week.

From the top end of the Joint Chiefs of Staff down to probationary employees, the Pentagon makes personnel changes. What are the causes and effects?

The military is set to pursue a round of cost cutting measures as it looks to reflect the administration’s goals. What might that look like?

Trump’s national address before Congress this week is expected to touch on a number of key national security issues, including Pentagon reforms and the ongoing war in Ukraine.

If the Pentagon wants the US defense industrial base to be able to surge production of munitions and more, those details should be included in requirements and contracts and paid for, industry leaders told lawmakers.

US POWER OVERSEAS

Trump has loosened rules for military commanders to conduct airstrikes against suspected terror threats, a shift from the restrictive Biden policy that required approval from the White House and Pentagon.

Army troops take on extreme cold and Finland’s forces in landmark Arctic exercise.

The USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier and its strike group arrived at Busan, South Korea, bolstering the US military presence there following new missile tests by North Korea.

The Black Sea has become the Navy’s laboratory for rehearsing the best ways to tie unmanned, robotic systems’ effects with the crewed fleet’s combat power and electronic warfare capabilities.

US Marines and Japanese troops prep for amphibious warfare over the weekend during Iron Fist, a defining exercise of the US-Japan military alliance.

Air Force selects landing sites to test space cargo deliveries, proposing the construction of two landing pads on Johnston Island, a remote atoll in the Pacific.

The US appears to be poised to reassert its nuclear footprint in the UK after nearly two decades of inactivity.

US soldiers test ‘Dronebuster’ prototype during mock battle in Thailand.

RUSSIA THREAT – UKRAINE WAR

White House support for Ukraine appeared to completely collapse on Friday after Trump and JD Vance berated the Ukrainian President during a tense Oval Office meeting between the leaders, accusing Zelenskyy of not being ‘ready for peace’ with Russia.

Zelensky bristled at his berating by Trump and Vance. After three years of war, what did they expect? Is it the most significant turning point in European history since 1989 or even 1945.

Elon Musk has backed calls for the US to leave the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Starmer says ‘coalition of the willing’ to present Ukraine peace plan to US. The U.K. Prime Minister has told European leaders that they all need to step up to a “once-in-a-generation moment” for the security of the continent.

Willpower, not manpower, is Europe’s main limitation for a force in Ukraine. Sustaining Ukraine in this war, and afterwards, is a responsibility that Europe will have to shoulder sooner rather than later. The Ukrainian military will need to be sustained in the field and reconstituted, while Russia is effectively deterred.

NORTH KOREA THREAT

North Korea says it launched cruise missiles in message to ‘enemies’ about its counterattack capabilities.

SPACE THREAT

US must resource its Space power advantage. The Pentagon directive to reapportion 8% of its spending to Trump administration priorities presents distinct opportunities and challenges, especially against the China space threat.

US MILITARY

A 3D-printed submarine? Not likely, but maybe something close. More and more U.S. warship and submarine parts are being 3D-printed—and now the Navy is going after the “really hard problems.”

For the first time, an F-35B has flown armed with the Meteor beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile, paving the way for a major leap in capability for the stealth fighter.

Trump, through his secretary of the navy pick, has thrust long-running criticisms of “running rust” on US warships back into the spotlight.

The Navy’s secretive sixth-generation fighter—which will share attributes with the Air Force’s own Next-future stealth fighter—will have substantially greater range and payload than its predecessors, Trump’s Secretary of the Navy nominee said.

So, the choice is… do we keep bending over and taking it up the rear orifice or do we take a stand and put the criminal establishment out of business? They have been lying, cheating, stealing and murdering our loved ones to maintain their own wealthy lifestyle. I say we take a stand!

ALL of CHINA OWNED USA farmland MUST be taken back from the hands of the Chinese, as well as ANY other type of property they may own in the USA.

What freaking MORON thought it t was OK to allow America’s ENEMIES to to purchase HUGE PARCELS of land, especially those adjoining, or close to, Military Installations.

Those who were supposed to be looking out for the America citizens have been SELLING THEM OUT instead

What did US POLITICIANS receive from China in exchange for allowing them to purchase strategic land parcels in America?

You know a Chinese officer has only our best interests at heart. So you can believe anything he says.

This kindof reporting not only is insulting, but downright full of lies and may even be considered a form of treason. You can well bet that the world leaders are all talking with, not to, Trump and learning what will happen if they cross specific lines. Nobody should misunderstand that Trump is a Patriot and will enforce our foreign nations relations if pushed. They can bluster and babble all they want but only actions count. We are getting a stronger, more reliable and better equipped military enforcement today than we have ever had before. We are weeding out the traitorous commanders and other factions that have proven their incapability of leadership and command. As the old sayig goes, only the strong will survive. The world leaders know this and will not act unless they have the advantage such as under do nothing Biden becasue they owned him.

What else would we expect a horrid EVIL godless chicom to say, they hate that their commie puppet lost!

One must realized that one of the tactics that China employees is diversion and false information. When Biden was in office they pretty much got their way and was handed stuff on a silver platter. Now with Trump in office that stopped, they are taking notice and reevaluating their stance toward pushing not only the South China Sea claims around but Nationalist China as well. They know they will lose the war if they try to take either by force becasue they will meet with American MIlitary might immediately. They stolen equipment may look like ours but beyond skin deep they don’t have anything but fluff.
